Verse: Well. That's rather annoying. The series was dropped. I gave notice on my bin ages ago and spent the last month slowly working on the first volume in my free time. However, now that volume 1 has essentially been completed, my current efforts have already been 'wasted'. I have come to understand that Defiring picked up this WN on your misinformed recommendation; please properly ask around first before making requests in the future if you actually care about efficiency. I understand that this mess is partially my fault for being slow to respond and not broadcasting my work-in-progress well, so I'll improve on that in the future. I'll start working on something else, at some point, and leave WT to Defiring. Probably.

Hi Verse, firstly, I want to thank you very much for doing the Mushoku Tensei chapters. Seriously, at one point I was checking your pastebin page almost everyday before bed time, so thank you for finishing it so quickly!!
  +
  +
Secondly, I was wondering if I could maybe get a copy of your app? While I have never translated anything before, I do meet the other three requirements. I am a fluent I have the general computer knowledge, I think, as I have used the these programs before (not sure which version) for understanding part of a japanese game. As for the system requirement . So yeah if you would help me out with the app, then awesome, but if no, then no worries and please keep up the awesome work!!

Hi Verse! As a fellow user, first, I'd like to thank you for your contributions to the Mushoku Tensei project. Absolutely amazing job! And to actually make sense of that crappy machine translation...you're beyond me.

  +
Second, a small caution. I'm not exactly sure how strictly this is enforced, but be cautious about putting machine-translated work into the main chapter links. It would be much safer for you to put them in 'preview' pages, as was done in the last few volumes. Recently, I did a mass edit for Tate no Yuusha, and attracted the attention of higher management. Check out my talk page to get an idea of what rules and such are around. They also gave me a link to the official rules here. If I got this many warnings just for shifting machine tls into PREVIEW pages, I doubt what you're doing is legal. Still, you aren't editing many chapters at once, so you probably won't attract as much attention as me. You'll probably get away with it. I hope. Best of luck! Hello! I appreciate your interest, and the interest of anyone else who might have similar questions.

Verse: That seems to be the case, eh? I was unaware. It kind of sounds like a joke that Baka-Tsuki has a bunch of "senior translators" lying around to proofread everything. If the TL scene had those kinds of resources, then randoms like me popping up wouldn't be necessary. I hope I'm wrong, but my general impression is a lack of activity on this site. I don't know how to delete pages, so I can't really undo my mistake. I'll keep in mind to only use preview pages in the future. I'm not in a position to effort this "problem" at the moment and pursue a solution. Baka-Tsuki & users are free to do whatever they want with my work.
System Requirements:

Btw, I read Tate No Yuusha as well. If you were the dude who was rehosting and editing all the chapters, then I really appreciate that. You're doing a good job. Your TLCed versions were much easier to read than those horrible machine translations that randoms were linking on pastebin. Those kinds of guys were the reason I don't freely distribute my app, it's far too easy to produce bad English TLs. Then again, I may be doing something similar, but life is hypocrisy so whatever.
1. My application requires Windows 7. No Macs, no tablets, no Linux, and Win 8 is untested so it'll probably glitch.

2. My application was designed for Japanese to English translations, so certain features are Japanese to English only.

  +
Agreed. There's a page somewhere with all the recent edits available to users with special rights, and some keep their eye on it for monitoring. You probably won't be noticed unless you continuously do major changes, like me, or have a bad history. Deleting pages is a power given to senior users who distinguish themselves; we haven't been around long enough.
3. Internet Explorer must be installed with default settings (probably) to access Bing + Honyaku + Babylon COM translations.

  +
Glad you like it! I couldn't take clicking so many links to so many sites, so I decided to just edit/shift them all here, with the translators' permission. Thankfully, there's a few good TLs who do some editing when some new guy posts a bad translation, so general quality is high. I've read your machine Tls, and they're definitely high quality, don't worry. Though coming from me, who has no TLC abilities, that statement probably isn't reliable.
4. Requires AHK Unicode, which allows your computer to run the AHK programming language, download it here: http://ahkscript.org/download/ahk-install.exe

Well best of luck, and once again, thanks for TLing!Subsinexus (talk) 22:02, 28 November 2014 (CST)

I don't think it's set in stone that MT is ending next year. He said his goal was to finish MT next year, but he also said that was his goal for this year. It may still keep going for a while (keep your fingers crossed). --imagelesskink (talk) 13:51, 24 November 2014 (CST)
1. Line-for-line word processor with English spell checking.

2. Phrase Search, which recognizes a sequence of characters and displays chosen information (translation, notes, ect... These are manually added.)

1. Translation Aggregator (Mecab + JParser + Atlas) - Install the bundle here - https://amaenboda.wordpress.com/2012/03/26/an-aero-gamers-guide-to-using-atlas/3/#%20Bundle%20Download

2. Honyaku Translate - I can't actually read anything on this damn site, so I don't know what other languages it supports.

Q: Magonote-san, do you have a goal for next year?

A: To finish Mushoku Tensei (The same as for this year)
I have reached a relatively stable stage where I am looking for feedback to improve my application; but it's not plug and play yet, so it will likely require a relatively long conversation to get everything up and running. Please do not request a copy of my application if you do not have a decent understanding of how computers work, and speak (write) fluently in English.

I think that if it isn't a joke answer, then he wants to end it if he can but whether or not he can is up in the air. There should still be a decent chance of it continuing into 2016.

Hey,

Verse: Now that you mention it, that does seem like it could be a joke answer. I honestly can't tell. I'll stop talking about the impending end of the series until there's some real proof.
I have a laptop with windows 8.1.

since your app is untested in it i can test it to check if it works. i am ok with computers and good in english.

if it works and the phrase search can be used for korean it would help in the long run.

I have internet explorer and have installed the ahk unicode.

will i need Translation aggregator for korean? or only for japneese -CRKR.

Translation Aggregator is from like 2006, so all the components that would have worked for Korean are now broken. You do not need it.

A: ゆえに、あと数章で終わりなのです。
I'll email you a copy of the application in a zipped file along with setup instructions, if you're ready to test this out today then it will be faster to do this over email (I keep flip-flopping, my bad, I didn't expect you to respond so quickly). So, yeah, if you run into anything just shoot me an email. If I don't respond within a day then post here.

A: Consequently, this ends in a few volumes.
I need to change a few lines of code to allow Korean translations, so I'll get back to you via email in around half an hour. There's a timestamp on the edit for reference.
