a translator newb. please help me by TLC my works. i am also open to criticism.

-i am a new member here so please take care of me. i figured that if i know jap or chinese, then maybe i'll translate. but for now i am stuck with trying to find the meaning of kanji without looking at a jap to eng dictionary and katakana. still a long way to do.
