the shamisen part is hard because you have to word it correctly or else it becomes too wordy and just doesn't read well. he says "ie de katteiru mikeneko shamisen" which literally translates to "the three colored cat that i'm raising at home named Shamisen", but it's best expressed as 'my three colored house cat named Shamisen' since it expresses the fact that it's his pet and is raised at home. | |||

If you want some help on the first sentence, I'd translate it as such:
"I feel that the method used to feel the change of seasons varies from person to person, but in the case of myself for the past half year, the tendencies of my three colored house cat named Shamisen are some of the easiest clues to understand."
