It's not weird, it's a defining point of Kyou's character to say things like that. Quite simply, she has a creative vocabulary and a tendency to string together unusual metaphors and expressions on-the-fly, as part of her everyday speech. There's nothing "weird" about it; I have the exact same habit in my real life conversation. Anyway, changing that sarcastic aspect of Kyou is like removing Ayu's uguu~s because there isn't a proper english equivalent. It's one of the main elements of her personality that makes her stand out as an individual character.
