Uploading Translations

Hi Verse! As a fellow user, first, I'd like to thank you for your contributions to the Mushoku Tensei project. Absolutely amazing job! And to actually make sense of that crappy machine translation...you're beyond me.

Second, a small caution. I'm not exactly sure how strictly this is enforced, but be cautious about putting machine-translated work into the main chapter links. It would be much safer for you to put them in 'preview' pages, as was done in the last few volumes. Recently, I did a mass edit for Tate no Yuusha, and attracted the attention of higher management. Check out my talk page to get an idea of what rules and such are around. They also gave me a link to the official rules here. If I got this many warnings just for shifting machine tls into PREVIEW pages, I doubt what you're doing is legal. Still, you aren't editing many chapters at once, so you probably won't attract as much attention as me. You'll probably get away with it. I hope. Best of luck! Verse: That seems to be the case, eh? I was unaware. I don't understand the [A -MTL name extension will be added to every chapter, in addition to a template indicating that the script has been produced by a machine.] line, I have no idea how to do that; but yeah, I'll put my stuff back up as a preview. I recognize that significant portions of my TLs may be incorrect and it could probably use some TLC, especially in the areas I indicate using reference notes. Still, it kind of sounds like a joke that Baka-Tsuki has a bunch of "senior translators" lying around to proofread everything. If the TL scene had those kinds of resources, then randoms like me popping up wouldn't be necessary. I hope I'm wrong, but my general impression is a lack of activity on this site.

Btw, I read Tate No Yuusha as well. If you were the dude who was rehosting and editing all the chapters, then I really appreciate that. You're doing a good job. They were much easier to read than those horrible machine translations that randoms were linking on pastebin.

EDIT: I have no idea how to delete the pages I made, lmfao. Alright, I can't delete the main chapter pages I created in order to dump them back into preview pages. If someone else knows how, then I'll leave it up to them. I don't mind people messing with my chapters once they're up.

MT Ending

I don't think it's set in stone that MT is ending next year. He said his goal was to finish MT next year, but he also said that was his goal for this year. It may still keep going for a while (keep your fingers crossed). --imagelesskink (talk) 13:51, 24 November 2014 (CST)

Blog post on chapter 229.

Q: 孫の手さんの来年の目標とかってあるんですか?

A: 無職転生完結(今年と同じ)

Q: Magonote-san, do you have a goal for next year?

A: To finish Mushoku Tensei (The same as for this year)

I think that if it isn't a joke answer, then he wants to end it if he can but whether or not he can is up in the air. There should still be a decent chance of it continuing into 2016.

Verse: Now that you mention it, that does seem like it could be a joke answer. I honestly can't tell. I'll stop talking about the impending end of the series until there's some real proof.

Verse: Q&A 226 question 6 seems to support the 2015 end theory. Again, he might be sarcastic/joking/trolling, but I have no idea.

Q: 連載が長いと、負け筋のパターンもダブってくるのでしょうし、主人公が強すぎるところにも構造的な問題がある気がします

Q: Once a serial goes on for a long time, the patterns of the losses starts to overlap, having the protagonist be too strong carries a lot of problems, I think.

A: ゆえに、あと数章で終わりなのです。

A: Consequently, this ends in a few volumes.
