On a Godless Planet:Volume3A Afterword
Afterword[edit]
“Okay, the meeting of the gods is really getting started now that we have a duel. Who do you think will win?”
“The busty one! Bustiness will win! If you want, I can even explain my reasoning!”
“Why is there such horrible background noise in here?”
“If you’re only interested in how big around they are in the chest, they’re both pretty ‘busty’.”
“I feel like a busty male is beyond his scope of interest.”
“In all seriousness, who do you think will win?”
“The Greek one is a major god, but I doubt he can eject his god of war here in the courtyard.”
“Personally, I owe Poseidon a lot and I know him well, so I hope it doesn’t go badly for him.”
“Oh, honey. I see your time among all these strict people has taught you to choose your words more carefully.”
“Poseidon’s caused me a lot of trouble, so I honestly don’t care if he loses.”
“Aunt!! Aunt! Don’t be so open about your grudges!”
“So do we even know who caused the flood?”
“Revealing that here would certainly be a novel way of writing a novel…”
“Noooothing is ever normal with gooods.”
“Yomoji-san, I feel like your followers are always causing trouble that leads to chaos in a later age.”
“That’s for sure. I feel like it’s always much more severe than the trouble my followers caused.”
“Kido-chan, wasn’t the trouble yours caused pretty severe for the time it happened in?”
“Anyway, the area around the Black Sea was a dangerous place. Even we had to deal with the Persians who were pushed out of there.”
“The coastal regions really were the main travel corridors back then. Crossing the mountains was too dangerous because of all the barbarians and wild animals.”
“Both sea and river routes have a coast. My mythology begins with the people washing up from the flood, but even that story happens on a coast.”
“Sometimes the myths talk about where those people came from. …And since my mythology doesn’t have much of a mother earth goddess, you could conclude that your people began as a migratory and equestrian people.”
“Um, then what does that say about my mythology which has something emerging from the reed leaves like something from a trippy movie?”
“They were probably smoking something before they wrote down your myths.”
“I can’t even argue against that. Shinto sure is something else…”
<It does have the most baffling opening of all the mythologies.>
“It does seem that way. Anyway, the background music this time was TM Network’s Self Control (Hakobune ni Hikarete). That really feels like one chosen for its title, but I think it is a song that represents this era.”
“Then the question this time can be ‘who was showing the most self control?’ And yes, the answer is me! All the self control in the world isn’t enough to keep my worship of Senpai from leaking out!”
“If this is too long, you can cut the idiot’s line. Anyway, Part B is next. You can look forward to the duel.”
2022. A pollen-filled morning.
