On a Godless Planet:Volume3B Chapter 52
Final Chapter: Eternal Blue[edit]

–The rain is gone and another ordinary sunny day has arrived.
●
I woke up to find it was super sunny outside.
“Yahoo! The summer clouds are out and it’s really hot first thing in the morning!!”
For real though, the sun shining onto my bed was giving my legs a nice tan.
I opened the window and learned that the summer was only just getting started.
“Um, today is…”
I checked the clock and the date display said it was August 20.
Yeah, so yesterday really was the 19th, today was Sunday, and…
“The flooding is gone.”
I opened the window and stepped out onto the balcony. I found it really was sunny out and the street and neighborhood weren’t submerged by water.
“And it’s super duper hot! Oh, but wait! There’s a one-in-a-million chance it’s the same in Senpai’s room and in the one-in-a-million chance she feels too hot, there’s a one-in-a-million chance she could be wearing a swimsuit at home? And in the one-in-a-million chance she goes out on her balcony, then I need to prostrate myself on the scorching hot balcony floor to worship her!”
I looked to the side and saw Senpai on her room’s balcony. She was wearing a swimsuit.
●
“Ahhh! Senpai! Thank you so much! This is enough to get me through the week! When I encounter my daily troubles and other nonsense or when I get home to find Shadow Blasters still inside my Mega Drive, I can remember this and none of it will matter!”
Sumeragi-kun made a short jump leading into a prostration. Level up Revelation Boards blossomed all around me.
“Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot! This floor is like a frying pan!”
“I’m wearing sandals and your room is to the east, so it must be worse for you. Maybe you should place a blanket or something over it?”
“Eh!? I can’t be soft like that! A worshiper like me is no more than garbage, so anything better than suffering is too good for me! In fact, this heat helps me tell just how serious I am!”
<Then shall I increase it to 200 degrees?>
“It’s not teppanyaki! And what are you doing here, anyway?”
<Oh, I wanted to report hat I had finished redoing most everything to match the date.>
Balancer then turned my way.
<But why are you in a swimsuit?>
“W-well, you see! When my room was flooded before, I shoved all my wet clothes into the closet! Then when I opened the closet today, none of them had dried off… Actually, wait. Does your redoing not include my closet?”
<Oh… That phase space technically counts as separate from the divine world, so it is not included. I will come up with a fix for this bug. Still, if they didn’t dry properly, you must have too much stuff in there.>
“Eh!? I thought anything I put in there would be cleaned.”
<Not if there isn’t enough space to clean them. For now, choose something to wear for today and hang it up to dry here. Sigh, what a troublesome girl.>
“Wh-when did you get a mom behavior algorithm!?”
Meanwhile, a familiar face emerged onto Sumeragi-kun’s balcony.
“Izumi? Oh, and Douhai-san too. Wait, why are you dressed like that? I know it’s summer, but aren’t you taking this too far?”
“Th-thank you for reacting exactly how I knew you would!”
<Yes, your private life really is a mess.>
I slapped Balancer from behind on the right.
Anyway. it looked like Kido-san was dressed to go out.
“Um, Kido-san? Do you have plans for today?”
“Yes. After we eat breakfast…I thought I would go see the pandas at the Ueno Zoo. Would you like to accompany me?”
“Oh! That sounds great! I was wanting to go after that discussion yesterday. Um, we’ll have to prepare bentos.”
“That was my first thought too, but it could also be fun to buy something while we’re out. Whether a station bento or something at the zoo, it should add to the experience.”
That statement told me Kido-san had changed some too.
The way she had always wanted to do everything herself had been fine, but…
“Good point. There are a lot of fun things to experience in this era of Japan.”
Then I heard a voice from below.
“Oh, do you three live here?”
●
“Oh? Are you and Dan-san going somewhere?”
“To the Showa Memorial Park… because it has a forest and water phase. We thought we could see a lot there.”
“You probably can,” I agreed. I hadn’t been here for long, but that large park was a great place to take a break. And…
“If something does happen, it’ll be nice to have a large phase or mold we can use, right? After what happened, I thought I would check around for some. Care to join us?”
“Unfortunately, we will be taking a family trip to see the pandas at the Ueno Zoo.”
“Oh, dear. Well, we wouldn’t want to intrude on your family time. No doing anything weird, Kido.”
“I won’t!”
Then Dan-san raised her hand.
“You should…keep your night open.”
“Hm? Why?”
“The manga club will be…holding a small celebration on the schoolyard.”
“The guard gods are running around getting things ready. There’s a lot of meat and alcohol leftover from the night of the flood that wasn’t eliminated by the date change, so they apparently want to get rid of it all.”
“And they’re doing this to apologize for the flood too, I’ll bet.”
“Oh,” said Douhai-san, raising her hand.
“Because then it’s like water under the bridge! That’s so clever, Kido-san!”
“I’m not sure what about that is supposed to be ‘clever’.”
“Well, anyway, you can look forward to tonight. But, terraforming lead? Why are you wearing a swimsuit first thing in the morning?”
“You don’t get it, Seaweed Man!? At a psychic school, it’s standard for the heroine’s clothing to turn invisible and show her in her underwear!”
I wasn’t sure what Izumi was talking about, but that was what was happening, so I decided to accept it.

–Fun is had when we’re all together.
