I know that I've delayed it a bit because of my work for SAO, but that will be finished before the end of February, at which time I will start working on Vol 5 in earnest. And no, I won't want to divide translating it, as it is a general rule on baka-tsuki to avoid having two or more editors on a single volume when possible, because there will always differences in how it is translated. (And since you're translating from Chinese and I'm translating from Japanese, the discrepancies will be even more pronounced.) Usually, that is only done when there is a lack of translators in a project or a translator suddenly quits; however, even if the progress is slow right now, volume 5 and several of the other volumes do have translators working on them, so you should try to look at volumes that haven't been claimed yet. |
