“Okay, we’ve got a little something extra this time and this short will probably have more of an impact than normal. Let’s take a look at the character roughs for the series.”

“Sumeragi-kun is the human representative and he is decently tall. He’s a little skinny, but everyone’s proportions are more on that end of things in this series, so it seems about right.”

“Apparently, the concept behind his design was a seemingly calm and intellectual person who immediately starts making silly faces.”

“That seems about right. She wears her uniform pretty much the standard way, so you can use that as a baseline. She has black hair, so to keep it from seeming too formal, it looks like she styles the ends of the bangs and stuff.”

“Okay, that’s me! Damn, I’m cool!”

“That’s a really 90s design. Like, what is with that belt?”

“Oh, he has his reasons for that, boy! By the way, his right arm isn’t a prosthetic. That’s an arm supporter like they use in sports. He doesn’t have a prosthetic arm and I don’t use any kind of spear, so don’t get the wrong idea. Anyway, he’s really tall at more than 190cm, so he’s designed to show off the large surface area of his different parts.”

“My long hair is tied back with that yellow band you can see there. The idea is that I have Saku tie it for me.”

“Now, Raidou-senpai has his height, but he was designed as a slender macho man. That means he isn’t just a brute force character.”

“At 185cm with her shoes on, Shifu-senpai is quite tall, but with the explosive size of her various parts, she kind of needed that height to seem balanced, didn’t she?”

“I’d prefer if you said I had healthy proportions.”

“Also, I assume you can see how Shifu-san’s skirt area was designed to kind of look like she has a shirt tied around her waist. Tying your shirt or cardigan around your waist was the fashion in the 90s, so it’s based off of that.”
