3			携帯の時計には、 確かにそんな時間が刻まれていた。	Without a doubt, that's what's being displayed on my cellphone.
4			麻理さんに居残りを叱られつつ、 麻理さんの回してきた膨大な量の調べ物を必死でこなし、 やっぱり矛盾を感じつつ家に辿り着いたのが確か６時。	Getting yelled at by Mari-san for working too late, finishing up the crazy amount of work she asked of me, and coming home after those contradictory activities, all in all took me until 6.	Probably too long.
5			今日は日曜日。	Today is Sunday.
6			一週間のうちで唯一、 自由な時間を持て余してしまう、忌むべき日。	The one day of the week I hate, one when I can freely plan my own activities.
7			だから昨夜は意識を失う直前まで働き、 なんとか夢も見ずに済むくらい、 深い眠りに落ちたところだったのに…	That's why I worked until I almost lost conciousness last night, barely managing to fall into a sleep so deep I couldn't even dream, and yet...

9			そんな俺の『何も考える必要のない休日』を 踏みにじってくれたのは、 市内で、だけど見たことのない電話番号の…	Ruining my "no need to think about anything day" was a call from the city, but a number I've never seen before.

23			店長用の椅子に、心地悪そうに腰掛けているのは、 この店のキッチンチーフの佐藤。	Sitting in the manager's seat with distraught all over his face is the kitchen chief, Satou.
24	佐藤	Satou	「そんなこと言われてもっすねぇ… 北原さん辞めちゃったときも大変だったんすよ。 人を３人増やしても追いつかなくなっちゃって」	"I can't really deny that, but... Your resignation was really tough on the rest of us. We were still in pretty bad shape even after getting 3 more people."
25			店長を除けば最古参で、しかも俺より二つ年上なのに、 何故か俺に敬語を使う、少しばかり弱腰な幹部候補。	The manager aside, he's the one with the most experience, not to mention he's two years older than me, but despite all that always speaks so politely to me, the slightly cowardly backup manager of the store.
26	春希	Haruki	「全部マニュアルにして残したよな。 俺の見込みだと４人いれば回るはずだったんだけど？」	I left it all in the manual, didn't I? The way I see it just 4 people would be enough to run this place."

29			決して使えない人じゃないんだけど、 確かに一人で店を回すとなると、 どうしても不安がつきまとう。	I wouldn't go so far as to call him useless, but leaving him to manage the store by himself does worry me quite a bit.
30	春希	Haruki	「じゃあビシッと言えよ。 準社員なんだろ？　正式採用目指してるんだろ？」	"Then just be strict with them. Aren't you a full fledged employee? Don't you want to be promoted?"
31	佐藤	Satou	「そんなの俺に言える訳ないじゃないっすか… 大体、店長だって何も言わない人なんですから」	"I can't just talk to them like that... The manager doesn't even say anything most of the time."
32			…特にこういう会話をしてる時なんかは痛切に感じる。	...That sense of worry doubles when these kinds of conversations come up.

34			俺がこの店でバイトをしていたのは、 二年の始めから三年の春先にかけての一年ちょい。	I was working here from the start of my second year to the spring of the third, so about a year in total.
35			今まで入れていたバイトに慣れてしまい、 いくら働いても倒れる限界まで疲れなくなったから、 いつ入っても回っていなさそうなこの店に移った。	Since I got too used to the job before that, I didn't feel tired no matter how hard I pushed myself. That's why I came here, where it always seemed busy no matter what time of the day it was.

63			佐藤には失礼だけど、 店長を除けばこの店で一番使えるスタッフで、 俺の恐怖政治の一番の理解者だった記憶がある。	This might be a little disrespectful to Satou, but I do remember her as the most useful staff her behind the manager, and the one who most understands my reign of terror.	This is probably a reference to the historical Reign of Terror, but any description to make his leadership habits seem scary can work here.
64			そして、何よりも彼女が好ましかったのは、 完全に俺のことを職場の仲間として、 割り切って接してくれていたことで…	And what I like most about her is how she sees me as nothing more than just a co-worker, and how straight she is with me when we talk...
