4			武也からの呼び出しがかかったのは、 夕食代わりの蕎麦をちょうど鍋の中に 放り込もうとした直前だった。	Takeya called me to meet up with him just as I was preparing soba noodles for dinner and putting them into the boiler.
5	武也	Takeya	「実は３部制になっててだな...今から第１部の忘年会。 除夜の鐘が鳴り出したら第２部の二年参り。 それが終わったら第３部のオールナイト新年会」	"There's actually three parts to it... first up, a year-end party! Then, at midnight, when the bells ring, we'll visit the shrine. After that, we'll do an all-nigher New Year's celebration!"

77			その依緒の怒りは予想通りだったのに、 依緒が怒りを向けた相手は、予想もしていなかった。	I predicted that Io would be pissed off, but I was wrong about who she'd be pissed off at.

85			依緒の怒りの方向性が理解できない俺は、 ただ、その憤怒の表情をぽかんと見つめるだけだった。	I could never understand why Io gets mad or who she gets mad at, so I can only gawk at her face right now.
86			けれどそれは、当事者である俺だけでなく、 隣の武也にとっても共感のできない、 つまり、男にはわからないって感じの思考らしかった。	But it's not just me, even Takeya who's sitting right next to me isn't able to comprehend. It's like this is something a man could never understand.

100			俺が女の気持ちに鈍感なのはわかってたけど、 でも、武也までついていけてないってのは...	I know I'm slow at understanding girls' feelings, but even Takeya can't seem to process this one...

122			未だ[R憤懣^ふんまん]やるかたない様子の依緒は、 もう付き合っていられないとばかりに立ち上がると、 さっさとコートを羽織った。	With an extremely irritated look on her face, Io stands up and puts on her jacket as if to say she doesn't want to speak with us any longer.
123	依緒	Io	「今から雪菜の家に行ってくる。 事と場合によっては絶交するかも」	"I'm going to Setsuna's house right now. If worse comes to worst, I'll be cutting all my ties with her."

125	武也	Takeya	「だからやめとけってそういうこと言うの。 春希だって全然そんなの望んでないし」	"Give it a rest already. Haruki never wished for something like that to happen."

136			二人が俺を糾弾するはずの忘年会は、 いつの間にか一触即発な二人を俺が仲裁するという、 当初の主旨を完全に違えた場へと変貌していた。	This was supposed to be a party where these two would scold me, but at some point or another, it turned into me trying to calm them both down.
137			だって今、武也のこめかみ辺りから 『ぶちん』って音が、本当に聞こえてきた気がしたから。	I think I just heard Takeya's temple popping.

142			携帯の時計を見ると、２３時５５分。	I take a glimpse at my cell phone. 11:55 PM.
143			除夜の鐘も、とっくに耳に届いてくる時間になっていた。	I can hear the bells sounding the countdown already.
144	春希	Haruki	「で、どうする？」	"So, what now?"
145	依緒	Io	「あ～？」	"Huh~?"
146	武也	Takeya	「どうするって...解散？」	"What now... how about we call it a day?"
147	春希	Haruki	「...あのなぁ、 お前ら今日の主旨忘れたのか？」	"... Now listen here, have you two already forgotten your main objective for today?"
148			俺が武也から誘われたときには、 確かに『二年参り』という単語があったはずだった。	I'm sure Takeya mentioned a "New Year's shrine visit" in his invitation.

153			結局、あの後もギスギスした空気は続き、 誰もが無言のまま、ひらすら酒を口に運び。	In the end, with the tense atmosphere enveloping us, we all kept quiet and continued drinking wine.
154			何故か、糾弾されたり励まされたりするはずだった俺が、 二人の機嫌を伺い、ただ一人注文係として 二人の間に挟まっていた。	I don't know how, but I had to get in the middle of these two who were supposed to scold and encourage me tonight, keeping their emotions in check while I ordered three people's worth of drinks.

160			ホールの階段から沢山の人たちが溢れ出てきて、 俺の目の前に、いきなり人の波が出来上がる。	There's a large crowd coming out from the hall, so we're suddenly surrounded by the crowd.
161			どうやらコンサートはたった今終わったらしい。 携帯の時計を見直すと、今の時刻は２３時５９分。	From the looks of it, the concert has probably just finished. I checked my cell phone's clock again, it's 11:59 PM.
162			...ニューイヤーコンサートというには、 ほんの少しだけ時間が足りなかったらしい。	... Not very long for a New Year's concert, was it?
163			駅へと向かう人の波に飲み込まれ、 急に歩調がゆっくりになる。	As the huge crowd walks past us, we slow down our pace.
164			ホールから出てきた人たちは皆、一様に顔を紅潮させ、 そのコンサートの凄さを口々に語っていた。	All the people walking out of the hall are so excited that their faces are red, and they're all talking about how great the concert was.
165			除夜の鐘を掻き消すような興奮が俺の周囲に蔓延して、 ほんの少しだけ居心地の悪さを感じたけれど。	With all that excitement and the sound from the sound of New Year's eve's bell overwhelming me, I can't help but feel a little irritated.
