4			その間で和泉がまとめてきた、 本人曰く『実家から発掘してきた昔の資料群』は、 こちらの予想を遙かに超えた完成度だった。	During the week, Izumi's managed to find, according to her, "an old pile of research files I dug up from my place". It's put together much better than I imagined
5			とてもレポート提出を一月以上もブッチした、 幽霊ゼミ生が書いた物とは思えないほどに。	Definitely not something I expected from someone who never even shows up to seminars, not to mention a month late on her report.
6	春希	Haruki	「この鬼伝説の別解釈なんかも面白いよな。 最後の方なんか鬼の方に感情移入してるし」	"The interpretations you came up with for these Oni folktales are pretty interesting. You even start sympathizing for the Oni by the end of it."
7			元は、山に棲みついた、人を襲う鬼を討伐する 侍の話なのに、途中から雲行きが怪しくなってくる。	At the beginning it seems like a generic story about a samurai going to slay a mountain-dwelling Oni that's been attacking humans, but some unexpected developments pop up about halfway through.
8			実は侍は、鬼の女に救われたとか、 その女と愛し合うようになるとか、 逆に女の方が裏切り者として実の姉に処刑されるとか…	The samurai is saved by the female Oni, the two fall in love, but she is branded as a spy and is executed by the samurai's very own sister...
9	春希	Haruki	「民間伝承にしては勧善懲悪でもないし、 それに随分とロマンチックだし。 …本当に地元でこんな説が根付いてるのか？」	"This doesn't have the common theme of 'good triumphs over evil' you often see in these stories, plus it's also fairly romantic. ...Is this really a local folktale that's spread around your place?"
10	千晶	Chiaki	「一番有名な異説はさ、鬼が宇宙を放浪する狩猟民族で、 今でも山のどこかに宇宙船と精神体が残ってるって奴で」	"The most widely accepted alternative theory says that the Oni is actually from a clan of hunters in space, and that a spaceship or her spirit itself is still on that mountain somewhere."
11			…異説と言ってる時点で、 一番有名じゃないだろとも思ったけど、 まぁ、そんなのはまったく些末な問題で。	...If it's an alternative, then how can it be the most widely accepted? Well, that's really just nitpicking on my part.
12	春希	Haruki	「…ちゃんと調べてある。 …ように見えなくもない。 かもしれない。けど、いや、まだ予断は…」	"...You might... not look like you're not telling the truth about this research, maybe...? Ah, but I can't be sure just yet..."	The original is just as twisted, on purpose. The idea is that he still has doubts.

17	千晶	Chiaki	「ま、昔のあたしは勤勉だったということで。 そのおかげで何の間違いか、峰城に受かっちゃったけど」	"Well, Houjou accepted me because I used to be quite the hard worker. I'm not sure if it was the right decision on their part though."

22	千晶	Chiaki	「ま、そこはね…興味のあるものには とことんのめり込むタイプだったと言うか…オタク？」	"Well, basically... I'm someone who's willing to put an enormous amount of effort into whatever I'm interested in... A geek, I suppose?"
23	春希	Haruki	「そういう感性こそ大学で発揮しろよ…」	"If only you could apply that mentality to your schoolwork..."
24	千晶	Chiaki	「あ～疲れた。春希、コーヒー」	"Aah, I'm tired. Haruki, coffee!"

26			立ち上がり、大きく背伸びをすると、 和泉はそのまま上半身を仰向けにベッドに投げ出した。	The moment I stood for a big stretch, Izumi just dropped her upper body onto the bed.

35			足がしびれたとか言ってるくせに、 この女はベッドの上でそのおみ足をバタバタ暴れさせる。	This girl just told me not one minute ago that her legs were numb, and yet now she's making a huge fuss kicking her feet around on my bed.
36	春希	Haruki	「だから人の部屋で暴れるなっての。 みっともない」	"Don't throw a tantrum like that at someone else's place. I can't even look at you right now."
37			特に今日の…その格好で。	Especially not... in that outfit of yours.	This continues from the last line, so the idea here is "I can't stand looking at you with that revealing outfit of yours on"

41			俺の淹れたインスタントコーヒーを受け取ると、 和泉はそのまますぐに口に運んだ。	I passed her the instant coffee I just made and she started gulping it straight down.
42			…今の俺の周りには、 ブラックを好む女が多い。	...There are a lot of women around me right now that like their coffee black.
43	春希	Haruki	「先週、ウチに来た日のことだけどさ… ほら、正門で付属のコが待ってて」	"That day you came over last week... There was a girl from the high school waiting at the front gate, remember?"
44	千晶	Chiaki	「ああ、一度だけのつもりでついフラフラと 若い肉体に溺れちゃったら、その後もしつこく 関係を迫られて困ってるって言ってたあのコ？」	"Ah, you mean the girl who was only meant to be a one night stand but you got so addicted to her youthful body that you got yourself into some complicated problems?"
45	春希	Haruki	「…多分お前と俺の指している相手は同じなんだろうが、 認識が壊滅的にずれているのをどうにかしてくれ」	"...We're probably thinking of the same person, but I'd appreciate it if you could do something about that preposterous misunderstanding of yours."

49			ちょっとだけ言葉に詰まったけど、 それでも和泉には、何の動揺もなかった。	There was a brief pause at the very beginning, but Izumi doesn't seem to be fazed at all.
50			ま、こいつが心乱れたところなんか、 半年以上の付き合いでも未だに見たことないけど。	Well, it's not like I've ever seen her lose her composure in the half a year or so I've known her.
51	春希	Haruki	「偶然会ったんだよ、別の場所で。 そしたら、なんか妙な誤解してて」	"We just happened to bump into each other somewhere else. She seemed to be carrying a huge misunderstanding with her."

92			で、いぶかしむ俺をよそに、 コートとセーターを脱ぐと、 すぐに自分の部屋のようにくつろぎ始めた。	And, ignoring the baffled look in my eyes, she proceeded to take off her coat and sweater, and started relaxing like she was in her own home.
93			…キャミソールとミニスカートという、 男の前にしてはあまりにもラフな格好で。	...In just a camisole and miniskirt, she's dressed a little more casually than she really should be in front of a man.

114			取材前から手を加える必要性を感じてたけど、 こっち方向にだとは想定してなかった。	Before the interview, I did think I would need to apply a fair amount of editing afterwards, but I didn't expect that this is the direction it would take.

130			いつもなら、５分もしないうちに飽きが来て、 雑談と説教で賑やかになる俺たちなのに、 今日は３０分くらい無言の時間が続いてた。	Usually her complaints start flying after a mere five minutes, dragging us back into the battle of lazed chatter versus tireless lecturing. However, it's now been 30 minutes since either of us made a noise.

338			大学の北端にある３号館は文学部の校舎。 こいつらのいる政経の６号館は大学の南端。	Building 3 in the north is the main building for the literature department, and this guy's economics department, building 6, is all the way in the south.
339	武也	Takeya	「いつの間にか文学部なんかに逃げやがって。 おかげで金借りることもままならないだろ」	"Now that you ran away to the literature department, I can't even find anyone to borrow any cash from."

366			俺たち三人の関係も、 俺が雪菜にした仕打ちも、 その後の俺の最低な対応も。	The three of us, the things I've done to Setsuna, and the awful ways I handled things afterwards.
367	武也	Takeya	「で、俺は春希と雪菜ちゃんのどっちを選べと聞かれたら、 そりゃもう、迷いなく彼女についてくって決めてる訳」	"So, if someone were to ask me to choose between you and Setsuna-chan, I'd undoubtedly take her side."

384			そう、こいつらは、知らないんだ。 あの時の雪菜を。	That's right. They don't know. They don't know how Setsuna felt then.
385			その傷が、いつか塞がるなんてとても信じられない、 最後の最後の、本当に最後に顔を出す、真実の雪菜を。	I refuse to believe those wounds could be healed. At the very very end, only appearing at the very last moment, Setsuna's true self. They have no idea.

410			で、話が終わるまで、 どうやら大人しく教室の外で暇を持て余していたらしい。	And she apparently waited out here quietly until our conversation was finished.
