Tada Banri was walking.

Following him was Yanagisawa Mitsuo, they reached the crosswalk.

The signal was flashing, the two of them were running and jumping while laughing like two dogs, screaming [This is dangerous!] [Run run!]. They were with the both hands shaking with the weight of the supermarket vinyl bags. 

“...Wait…”

As I expected,

“...Please Wait, Banri…”

Words beyond that didn’t come.

Even though we didn’t reach the end of the crosswalk, with the red signal we got with the face in our knees in the middle of the road. The cars were coming passing one by one. Like that, I was stepping without raising my face from the knees, no one of the passing cars did break for us.

As for me, I couldn’t scream. Please stop, please help me, the voice to scream won’t come.

That is clear. Because I am dead. Banri was going straight foward, he doesn’t even look back on me. Even if I ask him for wait, he won’t listen. There’s no way he will realise.

Even if I have something to say, with this voice, it won’t reach anyone, there is no one in this world that know that I’m here. 

No matter how much I cry, or how much I scream, no one in this world will notice me here. 

The time until now, I have never known such loneliness. Now I know that was a happy thing. I was already giving up. Accepting this destiny, all that comes and goes, I realised that with a peaceful feeling. I will only protect Banri. Passing no matter how much decades, until the day that Banri dies, I will stay like this, I was imagining such a selfish thing.

But that time I realised that Linda was crying. inside Banri’s room, Linda was laughing, but  inside of her heart she was crying. It’s not because I am a ghost that I got it. I am always with my ears close to Linda’s voice. That’s why I understood it. 

There’s one thing that I promised. If Linda started to cry, I would come running. That’s why I thought [It would be good if I can be by her side]. Without contradicting my words. Snuggling to Linda when she was crying, being of help to her. Extend my hand, talk to her. Touching Linda’s shoulders, back and hair again and again with this fingers. 

Then I finally realised.

I won’t be able to touch Linda anymore.

My voice won’t reach her anymore.

There’s no meaning for being at her side being a ghost, besides she won’t even realise my presence, then, like that, Lida gave up from me.

Not anymore—

“...Banri… Wait…”

No one will understand me anymore. Why I take gone through this things so calm like that. That’s not okay. There’s no way that it would be okay. Though I am dead, my head was being strange, I was crying, screaming, going through a rampage. Clinging into Banri, biting, screaming for you who is alive to do something. Do something to help me. Even with that, nothing will change, no one will realise me. 

I thought that I had fear of vanishing. 

Now I fear this endless thing.

If this was supposed to last forever, how am I supposed to bear it? If this don’t have an end. Without caring to death or alive state of the body, if I am supposed to be the only one to keep existing. If my parents die, Banri die, Linda die, everyone that I know die, and this don’t come to an end. 

“... I am telling for you to wait me!”

With tears dripping, I clean my face with my hand, and I desperately got up. I chased Banri that was going far away, running with all my might while raising a crying voice. That was so hard until here. I don’t want to be left back. I don’t want to be left back and be forgot all alone in a place like this. 

I suddenly realise while I am running. That Banri is living more than one year on front of me.

There was a person vult that I easily recognised from far away,

“Sorry two-dimensions-kun, did you wait?”

I abruptly turned in the way of Banri and Yanagisawa, that were drawing near.

“Nnn—You are late! I did wait!”
