Editing Zero no Tsukaima:Volume11 Chapter5

Saito and others did not know what to do with this much of free time before the new school term started.

Three days passed after returning from Louise’s place. When they returned to the academy, it was basically the same daily life without any changes.

“Tsk… Clearly he is a bad guy, we should not stand in here.”

In the usual hangout of Undine Knight Corps, Saito said while placing his elbows on the table.  

“When did you become so belligerent?”

Guiche asked gulping down the wine. 

This was the place were after school noble boys used to drink recklessly. And if the teachers were to scowl at them, they would excuse it as a ‘training filth’. Because the Undine’s Knight corps were founded as queens guards, the teachers could not complain once the training was mentioned. 

“Because it’s strange. They, umm, that Gallia. It’s a really big country. If they wanted they could attack Louise and me and Tabitha and her mother, but for some reason they do not.”    

”They are such kind of fellows. It would not be too hard to lay hands on you, during the shady work at night. That’s why we need to watch out with the corners of our eyes.”

Guiche nonchalantly answered, regaining his cool.

“I want to do something about Tabitha’s mother…”

“Well, it is nice and all, but what can we do about elf medicine? We are in a deadlock.”

No, disagreeing, Saito shook his head.

“Anyhow, Gallia not sending an official protest is most satisfying. It is strange when the war does not break when it is usual? The opponent is the king of the large country Gallia. As has been said before, he is too big for common individuals like us to understand.”

Certainly, Galia has not figured out what to say yet.

Though that silence was eerie, sometimes there are some circumstances never revealed for the public.

“The king of the large country, huh…”

Saito looked up into the sky absent-minded. As has been said – he should be happy returning alive than troubling about such things. 
However, he could not permit that.  

Saito began trying to figure out some way of punishment. However, nothing came to his mind. It was not just the Gallia’s king Joseph with high ambitions, but there was a similar to Louise void user on the other side as well. And, similar to him, a familiar of Void too…    

A large country with a Void. It is a too big of an opponent.   

One cannot win just by swinging a sword alone – when he painfully had to admit it, his shoulder was tapped by Guiche.

“Anyway! It is necessary for brave men like us to rest. Wouldn’t it be a grieve loss to not enjoy the life? Cheers, have a drink. Wasn’t it tough for you at Louise’s home?”

“C-cheers…”

After all, at Louise’s home it was far more challenging than in Gallia, tired and injured, Saito slept for a long time. He only woke up today at noon. And found neither Louise nor Siesta around. 

Without he was not here, these fellows cut the class and were indulging themselves to binge for as long as three nights and three days. Soon after he arrived, Saito joined the uproar. 

“Nooo, but, I have a great question! Because we invaded Gallia, Tabitha… wasn’t she the Gallia’s royal family member? And so we helped her out! As one would expect from commander and sub-commander.”

One drunk member rattled. Guiche gladly shook his head.

“What good that would be without your tight cover. You have attracted dragon knight corps to the Germanian border. When I’ll become a general, I’ll give the rewards for you.”

“Indeed! We have might been useful after all!”

“Not just might! Ahahaha!”

“Hey Guiiiiche!  You are talking about Tabitha?!”

“Yup.”

Guiche nodded quickly.

“Watch your big mouth!”

“W-what is it! There isn’t anything to be concerned with, right?”

Guiche mumbled out, when Saito began to strangle him.

“Look where and to whom you are telling!”

“C-calm down! I didn’t tell that to anyone else but the knight corps!”

“You are not lying?”

“I am not. I am smart enough, to not be so easily elated.”

“For your sake, I hope you are not.”

While such private exchange was heating up, the fatty Malicorne appeared with the first year schoolgirls at his side.

“Malicorne-sama! You are so cool!”

“Please, let us hear the story again!”

They were somewhat cute girls. Malicorne for some reason was wearing a hat with big feathers and a Guiche-like shirt. ‘What’s up?’ – the guys from knight corps started gathering around.

“It’s embarrassing Kaneko-chan. But I guess it cannot be helped.”

“Kiyaaaaaa! Great!”

Malicorne pointed with a finger, proud as a peacock, and the surrounding girls started to squeal from joy. 

“Well, I went to the Alhambra‘s castle and put commanders and thei suburdinates to sleep! And then the elf appeared!“

“Kiya kiya!”

“Then I put out the wand without a fear and shouted! ‘Oi long eared rascal. If you value your life, let the princess go. If not, then, stronger than any magic in existence, my wind spell will gush out…’ Ah, of course, the princess Tabitha. It’s that small girl." 

“You are so cool! Talking down to an Elf!”

“Well I have to admit, thaaaat those kind of superficial guys are easy to beat. If I am serious, puff – and they fly high. Puff.”

“Youuuuuuuu! ‘Puff’ this!”

Saito’s flying kick hit straight into Malicorne’s solar plexus. 

“Gugh!”

Malicorne somersaulted down. 

However, he stood up with a red face.

“Ha Saito, because today I have this gorgeous aura around me, I’ll take it calmly. But attack again – and I will join one dragon knight unit.”

“Y-you, this…Your common sense is zero…”

Saito’s shoulders were trembling with anger when he started to beat ‘bang bang’ Malicorne.

“Noo, be nice hero. These girls, by all means, want to hear about your adventures. Speak up, sub-commander-san.”

“You are that Saito-dono?”

Girls with long hair surrounded Saito from left and right. The first year students’ eyes were sparkling like stars when they looked Saito. Behind them was the Katy from that time. 

She triumphantly patted the first year girls’ shoulders. 

“Indeed. This person is the sub-commander of The Undine Knight Corps, Saito-dono. When you hear of many of the adventures Saito-dono had, it will blind your eyes like a fine star!”

“Nooo! Great!”

The first year girls shouted joyfully. Saito slowly started to loose his steep face expression.

“I-it’s too much…”

“Tell about your adventures!”

Then, Guiche pushed the face from the back.

“Then ask the commander. The commander…”

With a rose between his teeth, he took a graceful pose.

“This guy is from Garmont family!”

“It’s Guiche-sama! So handsome!”

Guiche trembled.

“Say that some more.”

“Eh?”

“More, repeat the words you just said.”

“H-handsome…”

Guiche thrust out his both hands up and then in front of the face. After that, he began to swirl his hair around his right finger. 
 
“The commander of the Undine Knight Corps of the Water Spirit, Commander, Commander Guiche de Garment. There is no more excellent commander of such a boorish fellows than I. My, you are so cute. No, you probably are the holy woman Joanna that they draw in all religious pictures! You might be a rose at all. My goodness, if you are not the best rose!”

With an increasing vocabulary, Guiche began to persuade the girl.  
“Nee Saito-dono.”

Shaking her long, straight, nut-brownish hair, Katy drew closer.

“W-what?”

“We have made a girl support group!”

“Support group?”

“Yes! It was organized between first and second years.  Ne~”

The schoolgirls around her gave cute nods.

“Doesn’t Undine knight corps have a lot of things to do? Thus we though that girls who would help are necessary.”

“Help?”

At Saito’s vacant look, Katy, with some rustling, took it out the basket at her side.

“Yes! We prepared some dishes for now! Please eat at during training.”

When Katy tries to set the dish, door with the loud bang is opened and the housemaids jumped in from the kitchen with Siesta in front.

“Siesta!”

Siesta and her maids were holding large dishes.

“Saito-san! Despite all my worries that you were sleeping so long after return, you seem to be surprisingly energetic!”

“T-thank you.”

One after another Siesta’s housemaids started to set the dishes on the table.

“Wait! Don’t be so selfish!”

Noble schoolgirls started complaining about commoner housemaid.

However, Siesta with the certainty stared back at Katy.

“When nobles cook, our heads roll! Isn’t that right everyone?”

That’s right, that’s right, maids nodded.

“That’s why we will take care of the meal for the knight corps. The misses must work hard at studying.”

With determined face, Siesta began to set the dishes on the table.

Katy got angry, took the plate of the placed dish and began to eat mumbling.

“Please do not eat!”

“Commoner’s taste is so saucy!”

Maids and the girl helping group started to turn against each other, and started jostling eventually. Saito was experiencing heaven and hell at the same time.

Malicorne tried to stop the conflict.

“Please stop fighting over me!” he shouted, but was sent up flying from both sides kicks.

Then every one from the knight corps got involved, and fuss erupted in the hangout.
