Volume 6, Chapter 1  


    Chapter 1:  


    As you all know, but some may not, so I'll explain. I, Natsuru Senou, am both male and 

female. It sounds like a joke, but it's true. I'm registered as a male, but I can transform into a 

female. I'd like to explain this to anyone who's wondering, but it 's too long to explain now. If I 

were to tell it in front of the entire school, I'd probably be half asleep and half rioting, so I'll 

skip it. Anyway, my female name is Kämpfer, a fighting force.  


    I'm a sophomore at the private Seitetsu Academy High School. This high school is coed, 

and the buildings are divided into separate buildings for both sexes. In this day and age, I 

think this doesn't make sense, but it might be a form of curse, like fen g shui.  


    I have two student registrations at this school: male and female. But I only have one body, 

so if one attends, the other is always absent. I'm currently very troubled by this. If we both 

attend class equally, we'll each have to attend 50% of the time, which means we'll be held 

back. A while ago, I discussed this with the president of the Universal Student Council, 

Shizuku Sangou.  


    "Go to class as usual,"  


    that cold -blooded woman said.  


    "Hey, President, if you attend one, you'll miss the other. You know that, right?"  


    Shizuku glared at me.  


    "So what? It's not fair to miss the other just because one can't attend, right?"  


    "Well... it's like this."  


    "The curriculum is the same for boys and girls, so there shouldn't be any problems with 

studying."  


    "Hey, you're not going to let me study like this, are you?"  


    "Yeah."  


    What is this woman talking about? Is she really happy to cause me trouble?  


    "That's not what I mean. If that happens, my attendance won't be enough."  


    "I'll find a way for you."  


    "What do you want?"  


    "No problem,"  


    she said calmly. Come to think of it, even though she's the student council president, this 

situation shouldn't be something a single student could handle, but the fact that she could 

actually do it is terrifying. What's the power structure of this sch ool like?  


    "Don't worry about it. I'll take care of it for you. But..."  


    Shizuku looked at me with emotionless eyes.  


    "You have to take the exams for both sides."  


    This is really not a happy line. The masochistic boys who admire Shizuku might lose 

consciousness from too much pleasure.  


    So, today I went to the girls' section. Actually, I could have gone to the boys' section, too. It 

just came naturally. It was bound to happen anyway.  


    My (forced) class is the girls' second -grade class, Class 4. I'm used to the all -girls 

atmosphere, but it's definitely different from the boys'.  


    First, the air feels so spiky that if you get a headache, you might think there's some 

poisonous gas in the air. It's completely different from the boys'. The squeaking sound is 

incredibly sharp, like a sea urchin being thrown at your head, shell in ha nd. 


    And then there's the bad manners. While the boys aren't particularly bad, I'm surprised at 

how bad the girls can be when there's no one around. I'm used to them fanning themselves 

up with their skirts, not minding the looks, but there's nothing wrong w ith them pressing 

their backs against the iron lockers and blissfully saying, "Ahhh, it's so cold!" They're all sticky 

with sweat. Even so, the way they transform into ladylike women once they leave school is 

even more surprising.  


    Class 4, second grade, is filled with both pretty cute girls and really cute girls. I'm a guy and 

I feel this way, but girls must feel the same way.  


    However, most guys probably don't know that the girls here don't have very good 

personalities. Their only pretty face is really annoying. To be frank, I only have one 

companion.  


    During break, while checking my wallet, that companion arrived.  


    "Natsuru -san...what's wrong?"  


    It was Akane Mishima. She was a Kämpfer like me, the only girl in the class who knew my 

true identity.  


    I smiled sheepishly.  


    "Uh...it's just a little lonely..."  


    "Money...?"  


    "Yeah."  


    My father was working far away, and my loving mother abandoned her adorable son and 

ran off with him. At first, I wondered how they could be so heartless, but if they saw me as a 

woman, it wouldn't be a matter of falling down, so I'd be lucky.  


    Thanks to the remittances, my living expenses were guaranteed. Of course, I was the one 

receiving the remittances. I did have some travel expenses and pocket money, but I was a 

high school student with poor management skills. My lack of self -control ma de the end of

    This month has been even more difficult than usual because I bought a whole set of the 

new "Gut Cards" from the Udon doll after they released them. Sakura Kaede told me, "Let's 

play together."  


    This means we'll have to squeeze in living expenses or work part -time jobs to supplement

    I grumbled, and then Akane said.

her.

words.  


    "...Club 'Green' is hiring escorts..."  


    "What do you think?"  


    "This... a nightclub recruitment ad...!"  


    What are you thinking? I'm in high school.  


    The class monitor smiled. Maybe, no, definitely, she was seriously trying to get me into a 

nightclub girl.  


    "Seno -san is so beautiful, you'll be number one soon."  


    "That's not what I meant...!"  


    "You can make money too."  


    Shit. Anyway, that's your reason, right? It's not just about making money for me, you'll 

definitely charge me a commission for introducing me to nightclubs. That's legal human

    The class monitor is so cute, but she's always so scheming. The same goes for the other 

girls in the class. I always feel like they're "a little out of touch with normal society."  


    They're completely different from what I imagined high school girls to be. Even if they 

weren't, I'd definitely think so. This is about the cultural festival. This class is running a "maid

    The class monitor smiled confidently again.  


    "Actually, Natsuru -san,"

maid? I wouldn't even want to work part -time at a regular restaurant. Besides, it's at her 

sister's house, and there's no pay.  


    Akane looked at me uneasily, and the class monitor continued.  


    "I don't want you to be a maid, I want you to dress like one."

    I muttered. Kudo is one of those passionate teachers you find everywhere, strict with 

students who don't follow school rules. I was a bit too disobedient —since I could only attend 

half of my classes in the boys' club —and that's why I was targeted. But some students also 

said he was a good teacher. Passion and personality don't really conflict, after all.  


    Well, whatever, let Shizuku put the pressure on him. It was the student council president

This is impossible! How can this be? Not only do I have to serve, I have to be entertained too. 

This is absolutely impossible.  


    I have to turn one of them down, no matter what. I wanted to catch Higashida, but the

    Anyway, I asked Akane to go upstairs and gave her the same instructions as for Seppuku 

Tiger. I omitted the part about the women's section.  


    She didn't smile, just looked surprised.  


    "How could it be... Natsuru -kun... male Natsuru -kun"  


    "Yeah, I have to go."  


    "What about the maid?"  


    "What should I do?"  


    I can't think of any solution by myself, so I asked you to discuss this.  


    In front of me who was sobbing and melancholy, Akane was also worried, what a nice girl. 

Although she is not here, she is very different from Shizuku and others. That guy will 

definitely take advantage of my distress. It would be better if Akane and Sa kura Kaede had a 

better relationship.  


    "Natsuru -kun... what if both the male Natsuru -kun and the female Natsuru -kun take a

    I don't remember what the weather was like, but it wasn't raining, so it was probably fine. 

As long as there weren't any bombs, anything would be fine.  


    Feeling anxious, I set off for the class leader's sister's house. I'd wondered if a car would 

pick me up, but there wasn't, so I had no choice but to take the train. Carrying my large travel 

bag, I became a JR (Japan Railways) customer.  


    Now a woman, I'd planned to stay in my male form and transform into a woman in the 

station restroom, but it was crowded, so I gave up. So I transformed in my own home, but 

that would be a problem if the neighbor saw me on my way out, so I was being ext ra careful. 

Seriously, nothing good ever happens after becoming a Kämpfer.  


    I reunited with Akane along the way; the class leader was waiting at the station.  


    "Welcome!"

    "I'll show you the way... Seno -san, your bag is huge."  


    "Uh... yeah."  


    I clutched the bag tightly, fearing someone seeing what was inside would be terrible.  


    "What's in there?"  


    "Cosmetics and stuff..."

    The monitor led the way without questioning.  


    "This way, please."  


    Just as I was thinking, "Walk over there?" I hailed a taxi. Wow, that's quite generous.  


    We arrived at a quiet residential street, where rooftops could be seen along the quiet alley. 

People often assume that Tokyo is mostly filled with cramped apartments due to high land 

prices, but there are actually large houses, too, just under -reported . This is one of them.  


    We got out of the taxi and walked through the large iron gate. Why would there be a large 

iron gate? My house has a front porch right at the entrance.  


    Entering the hotel -sized mansion, we were greeted by a mature woman.  


    "Welcome, I'm this kid's sister,"  


    the monitor's sister said, bowing gracefully. Oh, she looks like a truly well -off woman.  


    "Thank you very much for accepting my unwelcome request. Please come this way."  


    Walking down the carpeted hallway, I nodded at the monitor.  


    "...Is that your sister?"  


    "Yes."  


    "And your husband..."  


    "She's still single."
