Volume 9, Chapter 5  


    My heart turned rosy, or perhaps pink would be a better word. Because I could do this and 

that with Kaede Sakura.  


    Kaede Sakura held my hand. This place had become a cycling track. The lower part of the 

riverbank was still hot, but at night, the neighborhood kids still came there to watch the 

fireworks. We walked a little further into the overgrown weeds, and Kaede  Sakura walked 

over.  


    "Uh...is there anything there?"  


    "No, but this place is nice."  


    Wow, so bold! So different from the Kaede Sakura at school, so proactive.  


    With my hand held, it felt like a scene from an old movie. I'd seen it on the tattered

    Akane Mishima leaped sideways, while Shizuku and Kondou Mikoto ran in other directions, 

forming a semi -encirclement. Incidentally, I was standing in the middle of the encirclement.  


    "Go to hell!"

    Akane Mishima and Kaede Sakura's voices mingled, their firepower intertwined. Neither 

gained the upper hand.  


    Kaede Sakura landed and drew her katana, slicing through the weeds. Slowly spinning 

around her to create a foothold, she instantly unleashed a barrage of shots at Kondou 

Mikoto.  


    Ah, what a beautiful, heroic battle pose (please respect yourself), katana in right hand, gun 

in left, long hair flowing, eyes gleaming. Because she was only wearing a shirt, her lower

    She suddenly moved, closing the distance between them and Akane Mishima, drawing her 

Japanese sword.  


    A flash of silver light sliced through the weeds, and Akane Mishima quickly ducked back.  


    "You're not like Shizuku; you're a dangerous being. I'm going to destroy you here."  


    I used to love the way she spoke with a twisted lip, but it still seemed a bit scary.  


    But Akane Mishima was also a Kämpfer, and much more belligerent than I was.  


    "Don't underestimate me!"  


    The Mastiff Woman raised her golden spear and unleashed a barrage of bullets, more than 

once, like a fully automatic submachine gun.  


    But Kaede Sakura dodged them all.

situation. As she pulled back, she threw the remaining half of her katana and spun around. 

Then, the dagger collided with the bullet fired from the sandbox, saving her life . 


    I was truly impressed. In just a few minutes, Akane Mishima and Kondou Mikoto had lost 

their offensive power, and their weapons were destroyed.  


    "Natsuru -kun, what do you think?"  


    Kaede Sakura asked me calmly,
