They had finally dealt with the first one.

Melehe groaned after seeing the broken edge of the lance.

“The Aspect of Antiquity is Odin’s lance, but would the Aspect of Admiration be ATU 0310, the Maiden in the Tower – that is, Rapunzel? I see. A single hair is weak, but a bundle of hairs has great strength. That symbolism was used to control the entire group of Dracae. Maybe the Aspect of Amorality is the coven in which witches work together in a group?”

The first lance was destroyed.

But nine still remained.

“If these are scattered all across the city, it’ll take all day to run around finding them on foot. And Dorothea will eventually be taken out by the Dracae!”

“…”

Viocia fell silent for a bit.

Then she straddled her Formula Broom.

“Wait! Fly up and the Dracae will get you!”

“I know that.”

Viocia wasn’t looking up.

Her gaze was directed dead ahead.

At the surface level.

“But Dorothea is flying at super low altitude. That means it isn’t just theoretically possible. We know people really can fly at only 100cm off the ground.”

“!?”

Melehe couldn’t find anything else to say.

Flying at supersonic speed through a densely populated city crammed full of buildings would end with her crashing into the very first wall and dying instantly. That could be even more dangerous than flying up among the Dracae.

“Dorothea was already great at ground effect flight skimming just off the ground and her broom is a bisA specialized for that. Plus, this city is full of stairs. There’s no way you can pull it off with a standard model broom that wasn’t even modified at the Goddess’s Spring!”

“But I can’t force Dorothea to do it all herself.”

Still, Viocia did not hesitate.

Her decisiveness was born of not being all that bright.

And miraculously, a main street was open right before her eyes like a long, straight runway.

“I’ll take the same risk as her. Because she believed we could do anything!!”
