No it is not a prank. Hayashi was the one who worked on volume 2. He has decided to delete it as well as remove himself from the B-T community because certain editors think they have the right to modify whatever they want when a translator kindly asks them not to. He'd kindly like to ask you to not restore it because he wants it to remain deleted. --‎Lllllllllllllllll

This mess is far too large to avoid being caught in it, sadly. As for Hayashi's ban, I agree it does look like vandalism; however, it is in this case definitely not. He deleted his own translations which is by no means any cause for a temporary ban. If it was against something he himself did not upload, I would fully agree with the ban. This isn't the case, though, I see no reason for even a temporary ban. He has no intention to touch anything other than what he has uploaded himself, I can vouch for that.
