===Part 9=== After he finished changing in the Kendo club room after his meeting with Ida, Takeshi met up with Kurumi to go home together. But because they had arranged to do homework together, he didn't stop at his own house, but went straight to Kurumi's house. True, they were in different classes, but the homework assignments were the same so Kurumi had suggested that studying together would be more effective. Because the two had studied together several times since they were in high school, they knew each other's strengths and weaknesses perfectly well. For example: Takeshi was lousy at English, but he was good at math. Kurumi, on the other hand, was very good at English, but bad at math. Before starting their homework, the housekeeper, named Kayo, had prepared a lunch for them, which they both ate in a large dining room. After that, Takeshi went to Kurumi's room which was spacious and luxurious like a hotel room. There, there was a finely decorated table set up on a soft and fluffy carpet where the two sat facing each other. "What do you plan to do this summer?" Kurumi asked. She had been thirty minutes since they started their homework, trying to solve problems from her math book. Takeshi on the other hand who was struggling with a long English dialogue, frowned and replied while writing with his mechanical pencil: "You know, nothing in particular." What about you? "Well, when my parents come back during the obon festival, maybe we'll have dinner together. After that, I'll devote myself to club activities." "Well, the club will organize a camp very soon." Takeshi commented. At that moment, he saw Kurumi's hand stopped. She had focused on Takeshi's hand and not on her book. Takeshi refocused on his English homework and gave: "It would have been better if you hadn't entered the Kendo club." Hearing that, Kurumi frowned and asked: "You mean you don't like the idea that I got in?" Takeshi frantically replied in a high-pitched voice in a hurry: "No, no, I was just thinking that being the team manager must be a boring job for you!" Kurumi put the tip of her mechanical pencil over her lips and while looking closely at Takeshi's hands replied: "That's not true. Being the team manager is not bad." "Well, if you say so." At that moment Takeshi became a bit thoughtful and asked: "Do you want to make nice with someone?" "Only with you..." However, Kurumi's answer had been a mumble that didn't reach Takeshi's ears. "Huh?" Takeshi looked up having understood very little, and at that moment Kurumi shrugged her shoulders and extended her white hand to point towards Takeshi's hands saying: "I didn't say anything. By the way, you made a mistake there." "Where?" "There?" "Uh... Here?" He wasn't sure, but it seemed that she was pointing out a part of the dialogues she had been translating. "No, I told you here..." A little annoyed, Kurumi got up from her chair and walked to Takeshi's side to place her finger on one of the words. At that moment Kurumi's bangs touched Takeshi's head. Kurumi's cheeks that had risen up, suddenly had dyed red. With awkward movements in front of Kurumi who had returned to sit in her chair, Takeshi nodded honestly. "Aah... you say this part, Thank you saved me." When he raised his face with a smile, Kurumi's face turned progressively red from the neck upwards like a thermometer reaching its limit and then she ducked her head. "What's wrong?" Takeshi asked. "Nothing's wrong with me...!" Kurumi suddenly shouted. Takeshi shrugged his shoulders completely confused. "Hey... you're not going anymore, are you?" Kurumi said with her head down. -Huh? Where to? -Takeshi asked. "I mean..." With a little difficulty, she finally spoke and said: "To where that girl..." Takeshi immediately knew who she was talking about. In the five days that had passed since her return, Kurumi hadn't spoken anything about Mui or that world, let alone mages. It seemed she was afraid to talk about it. Takeshi hadn't said anything either, but finally decided to break the silence: "You mean Mui?" Indeed, Takeshi cut to the chase with Kurumi who was sighing silently and then said: "I'm not going..." "Really?" The expression Kurumi had as she lifted her face staring was uncomfortable. "I have no reason to go." Takeshi replied, returning to his English dialogues. Then she muttered as if relieved: "Yes... you're right..." Obviously Takeshi had hidden from Kurumi that he had talked on the phone with Mui. Knowing Kurumi, that would have made her very angry. Although her anger would only indicate concern on her part, Takeshi didn't want to have to be watching out for that too so he decided to keep it a secret. Takeshi himself was also feeling a bit worried.
