Whether Wiki Supervisors need to be contacted for Teaser Projects AND/OR if they need to send an email to TLG. The original forum post was unclear about this, because Teaser Projects weren't accounted for in that structure.
There's a bunch of changes coming, since the sidebar is going to go poof. Hence, we need this to be updated to whatever our new policy is.

:I don't recall any ground rules laid down for teasers. Teasers allow people to post part of any part of the novel and being a teaser, no one expects them to get completed either.

KuroiHikari, what do you think about [[Baka-Tsuki_talk:About|zzhk's opinion about Teaser/Pending]]? I think I like his idea. Basically, any project that is not a Full Project is a Teaser Project. Once a Teaser reaches the requirements to become a Full Project, it gets added to the Pending category (so Oni can review), and if it gets approved, it becomes a full project? :I don't really want the term Teaser to mark the start of a project. One is aimed at zero commitment and the other requires a lot. I just wanted to get your opinion on what's the difference between a "Teaser" and a "Pending" Project. Don't these groups kind of overlap? All Teasers are kind of "Pending Projects", right, simply because they're not full projects. I don't think there's anything in the term "Pending Project" that implies a lot of commitment. :Teasers allow stuff such as a translated page(maybe more than a page) in the middle of a chapter. One can assume that nothing of a teaser will ever be completed. In that sense, teasers are not expected to be full projects. For that reason, I do not want Teaser to be Step 1 of starting a full project. :Well, KH seems to have a pretty firm opinion, but I agree with the other side of the argument.  The only real difference between the two is the intent of the translator to continue.  From the perspective of the reader, both types have only a limited amount to read.  People are fickle, so I like setting categories by results rather than intents.  And I think many people don't really understand that difference or don't care to use it (current examples of things that should be "pending" based on translator intent but aren't would be Strike the Blood and Black Bullet). :They'll just tag with the ATP template, which has Pending tagged. They shouldn't remove the tag themselves. My opinion is that since it's still at a creation stage whether it gets tagged or not isn't important. In the past, all projects went past Oni/DarkoNeko's eyes because they needed to be added to the sidebar. Since the sidebar is going away (and is going to be replaced with categories that have the approved projects/pending project tags), how are we going to dictate how a new project is upgraded to a full project? Can contributors just categorize the project to Full Project Status themselves? Or should they be disallowed from doing that in the rules? Want to start a new novel translation project? Here's brief summary of how to do it!

# Prepare translations! The first step is to show the readers an excerpt of the novel in question, so you should translate a chapter before creating a page for it.
# Look at the project pages in the sidebar, and create one for your novel. Here's a template. 
# Create a thread [https://www.baka-tsuki.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=23 here] to see what others think of your work, in order to get feedback. 
# If you want to keep working on it to get your project promoted to a main project, complete at least a volume of your seriesǃ When you're done with that volume, add a <nowiki>[[Category:Pending Authorisation]]</nowiki> to your project page and ask [[Help:Administration Contact Page|here]] for someone to approve it.
