However, I can give you my opinion. Firstly, your comment about "SMART goals" is completely irrelevant, because a 'goal' was never mentioned in the first place, it was just something you brought in. Secondly, please clarify what you mean by the practicality of "quality translation", because I cannot see how impractical this is. While the tone used does seem to be a little strong, the message is quite clear.
