Notorious Weed

The crowds gathered when Weed came out of the portal in the middle of Morata’s Town Square. Merchants were buying and selling in the town square, and parties were recruiting members to go hunting. The northern part of the Versailles continent was thriving thanks to Mora’s promise of adventure and the prosperous areas around it.

“Please look this way!”
“Hi Weed, Weed Hi! Come hunt with us. “

“Are you really Weed from The Continent of Magick?”

People were trying to get closer to Jeonshin Weed to ask him about the Wailing River’s quest, causing a commotion.

ReIt was a clamoring sight. Even on the walls people were waving and cheering towards Weed. Everyone was cheering at the return of Weed, The Hero of War.

Remembering his past of selling cheap sculptures in the Rosenheim Kingdom, Weed unconsciously raised his hand to stroke his chin, feeling flattered. “Heh, there’s a lot more people here now.”. He acted unconcerned and naturally confronted people, as if this amount of success was not a surprise.

Weed burst out a yell out of the blue.

“I went. I fought. I earned!”

“Woowaah ah ahh!” The Morata Square bursted with cheers.

“He must have earned a lot!”

“Wyverns! Please show us the Wyverns who hunted with you!”

“Weed! Weed! Weed!”

He faked his own popularity as their leader, it was a moment of uncontrollable joy.

On the Versailles continent even ordinary people had big hopes and dreams! Others did not get to hunt monsters, perform quests and have never experienced a comeback like Weed.

The soldiers of Mora and the paladins of Freya were calming and organizing the crowd, until all settled down again. Knights of the Order Freya politely bowed towards Weed.

“We would like to thank you for defeating the evil Embinyu Church. It is an honor to see you, the adventurer that will go down in history as the benefactor of our church.”

Weed humbly replied. “It was nothing, sir. It wasn’t much trouble. The fight with the Embinyu cult wasn’t that hard. It was easier than taking a nap on a bank in a sweltering summer afternoon.”

Weed had spent his valuable adolescence at what was once an excellent cultural facility.
 His neighborhood had a few banks with sitting areas where he used to go to and relax.

It had all the latest magazines for guests that were arranged categorically.

The bankers would sometimes gossip, but things of that level could be ignored!

 
In the past, middle-aged men went there to become familiarly acquainted over a bad cup of coffee, but these days, young people are divided over their discussions of Weed.

“An example for all Paladins”

“He´s treated respectfully.”

The overwhelming crowd of people watched Weed talk with the paladin with envy. A bunch of merchants and warriors didn’t expect Weed to suddenly create a portal and pop out in the middle of the plaza, but because of that they were unable to do business

“It’s the first time I’ve see Freyas Paladins acting this friendly.”

“I’m guessing it’s because of Weed?”

“That´s obvious.”

Freya’s Paladins recklessly rushed to the square and tried to contain the crowd of people.

“Hmm.”

Weed waited patiently for the disturbances to calm down again and glanced at the square. The crowd looked like a bag full of bean sprouts.

‘There seems to be more people here now.’ Sitting in the stalls, in the open square, looking at the merchants, Weed thought of rising taxes!

`Hmm, should I raise taxes….Just by raising taxes by 1%,  I would make a LOT of money…..’

Weed focused and started calculating the profit at a blinding speed. Mathematics were a breeze, but the plan had one mistake.

‘No, no. It’s still too early. Taxes had been lowered in order to give off the impression that in the future taxes will not burden the people. I can’t suddenly change that.`

His face went pale, and he became frantic.

If I raise taxes it should have the feeling that I’m not raising them.

Looking at Weed’s troubled face, the large crowd of users gradually became quiet.

Seeing his horribly contorted expression from a distance, they couldn’t help but stare.

Sometimes, his face would show a burning grimace, then suddenly his chest would collapse.
 The people here had never met Weed before and only heard the stories told by the other players.

“So earning chump change by selling sculptures was all a pretense?”

“It’s not a normal camouflage. Being able to kill Hydra, he´s gotta be a high level user.”

“Jeonshin Weed, does he look like he can wipe us all out? “

“I heard he was a lone warrior during Continent of Magic ‘s  just a bit of fuss or hassle was not welcomed by him…..”

After hearing that the people’s excitement subsided, because it gave them the creeps. Weed from CoM was a notorious figure. In the square’s corner merchants were chatting and exchanging stories with each other. The traders were talking about Weed’s CoM infamous deeds!

“Soo-il, is it true he has killed a lot of people?”

“Yeah. But Weed’s mischievous deeds cannot be spoken aloud. I’ve died five times myself.”

“Why were you killed? Did you make an enemy out of Weed?”

Weed could hear the young merchants conversations. The story of his young self in the Continent of Magick deeply interested him. It was an important story because depending on the crowd’s opinion, tax rates can be changed accordingly.

“For no particular reason. Once was when I was inside a shop waiting in line. Once in a stream. Once in a dungeon while hunting. And the remaining two times as a group, we had formed a coalition in order to repress his misdeeds and we died.”

“He killed people for no reason?”

“I am not just killed. Literally “butchered”. Even though I surrendered he still did not leave an injured person. Everyone is alike to him, he left no one alive..”

In the Continent of Magick, Jeonshin Weed wasn’t just a monster. To the other users, he was merciless slaughterer. With his extremely high level, amazing skill management, and unique items, he was a powerhouse. Challengers who recovered, were once again trampled on and killed, because they were a nuisance to him.

‘In my eyes there was no difference between human and monster.’

Weed briefly recalled his days in the Continent of Magick ‘In my eyes there was no difference between human and monster.’

It was really hard to differentiate between users and monsters. So to save time, he indiscriminately killed them all. There wasn’t anything that he couldn’t hunt. High level users were said to walk arrogantly, intentionally bumping into others and killing them. even when he was faced aginst A large powerful guild?  He didn’t care. ‘No matter how united they were, after three or four deaths they start to lose morale.’ As an example one guild has been thoroughly wiped out. The public opinion was extremely worsened by the news. Then again it was crushed. Every last one will fall. When that happens all over again the other guilds also provide help. Coalition of guilds have been organized a few times to kill him in a dungeon but he annihilated them using divide and conquer tactics.

Weed fought with his brains.

Dealing with a large group of mobs on your own is a very difficult feat to achieve, yet Weed using his surroundings, had dedicate himself to loot and kill everything that moves!.

The Merchant asked.

“Nevertheless, it seems like Weed’s name did not remain malicious. A lot of players from Continent of Magick did not speak dishonorably against Weed.”

The Merchant nodded his head in agreement and explained.

“Continent of Magic, which was losing popularity suddenly has become increasingly popular, sometimes players wanted something new, and then he would solve unsolved quests, passing through labyrinths, finding mysterious secrets in dungeons and encountering extremely strong monsters, unlocking and revealing secrets within the game to satisfy people’s curiosity. Can anyone surpass him?. Even in Royal Road, Weed’s recklessness is unmatched when it comes to hunting and completing a quest. No one would blame him if he refused to share his high prestige quest, but instead he commissioned them.. Many only look at the rewards but do not take into account all the steps in the middle. Accumulating abilities and raising stats is boring and repetitive to most people but for Weed it’s just pure fun. Most guilds tried to expand their territory by hunting in newly found areas, Weed prefered to hunt repetitively and was completely hostile to any guild and any players that were with them in the dungeon.

 

“Even a notable guild that likes to fight is afraid of Weed and were completely destroyed.”

“It was that bad?”

“Everyone tries to keep a distance, but there are those curious ones that want to die. At least they will have their name stamped on a tombstone.

“I was witness to the amazing atmosphere he gave off.”

“When news of Weed appearing near a hunting ground was spread, people around the area felt goosebumps, unless they were new to the game.”

Meeting with friends and having a friendly conversation is a common thing while hunting. but when Weed comes in, the atmosphere suddenly changes. The problem was not the quest nor the monsters, but when Weed shows up, just about every party turned to flee. However, those interested in Weed’s behavior and followed him soon ended up dead.

 

“Players from the Continent of Magick were desperately looking for Weed, though it was hardly possible because Weed always undertook hidden quests and challenges and you’ll only find out about it from hearing the news.”

“Were there any quest that he failed?”

 

“Of course. There were lots of times when he failed. But eventually, he succeeded. Only monster remains were left in dungeons when Weed went through it; those were the best memories.”

Weed’s achievements in the Continent of Magick continued to spread.

“That sounds like Weed.”

“The more I hear, the more amazing it seems. Man, it’s fun listening to firsthand stories of Weed.”

“The strongest in the Continent of Magick, Weed. The person I’m talking about is Morata’s Lord.”

The crowd’s respectful young eyes!

Weed folded his arms and looked up.

A quiet cyanic light emitted from the portal, creating suspense in the middle of town.

After excruciating and agonizing inner conflict, he overcame his greed.

“Not yet. I’ll secretly raise the taxes. In a way that people won’t feel it…..”

If taxes were raised all of a sudden, a lot of people won’t stop at merely resisting.

“It needs justification. I must raise the taxes. But if I raise it, it must be for a justified cause! Without proper reasoning, the people will not be convinced.”

Weed overcame his greed, put his backpack down and sat on the ground. he did not have any personal luxuries, he was completely penniless. Visiting a fancy restaurant like most people, especially while inviting female users, was not in his mind. Blacksmith tools or pieces of goods were self-made or obtained through hunting. For the benefit of future investment into Morata other funds were required.

 

Eummeoeoeoeo!

Emerging from the portal, mooing cows can be heard, becoming louder and louder. Rover was already used to carrying items. The size of the backpack, that Rover carried was massive.It all was obtained loot, while hunting in the Western river. They have prepared a special backpack, which was filled with fruits.

“Had to be somewhere around here ……”  Weed took out a sword from the backpack. The black sword finally got to see the light of day!

“Rare loot! Loot ranging from clothing, armor, weaponry and even accessories!”

Japtem sale! The nice atmosphere in the plaza suddenly became very heavy and cold.

At that moment, the heavy atmosphere in the Town Square disappeared.

“Eh, he’s selling something.”

“We were needlessly shocked.”

 

Weed has gained infamy and recived the murderer mark and Morata´s soldiers gathered around to keep an eye on him. Swords were drawn, but they were surprised to see Weed, and although the serious situation had been averted, the usual distinctive noisy atmosphere of the square was now replaced with silence.

“Excuse me.” A nearby merchant emerged from the crowd and bravely approached Weed, who sat in front of the portal together with Rover in the middle of the square.

“Yes.”

“Is it true that you are the real Weed from CoM?”

“In the flesh.”

He was not familiar with Weed. However, another merchant spoke up.

“Sounds like he’s not.”

“No, you say?”

“Yeah?”

“Tell me all about it, murderer.”

“……”

Merchants arbitrarily determined him as such. Weed, on the other hand, the god of war, the CoM players who knows him believes it. Many people thought that Weed the sculptor and this Weed is different, since their level and jobs were significantly different. Still not sure, but either way the vast majority of people were afraid. Weed and Rover unloaded a backpack full of enviable items.

“But that’s quite a lot of loot you got there.”

“Because I hunted diligently.”  Weed insensitively replied as he continued dumping out his loot. Customers were yet to come, but the stall was ready for trade.

 

The staggering amount of loot catched the gaze of the neighboring merchants.

“Do you want to sell all that loot to me? I’ll give you a good price for it.”

Weed shook his head. “I can sell it myself.”

“It will be better to sell it using my trading skill. Obtaining a good deal is not that easy.”  Merchants advised Weed, but he turned a deaf ear to their words. He was already pretty good at selling things from his teens. Selling herbs on the market in a much inflated price is one of the experiences he had learned!

“Bug antenna! Wild black boar fangs! I won’t just sell it to anyone. Cheap loot that I want to throw out in bulk.”

Weed began advertising his rich booty (P/N: Yummmm) to the users among the crowd.

“Antenna? Fangs? How much is it?”

Sales in bulk, like in grocery stores, were usually worth a great value of money. Weed collected exclusive loot from hunting in the river of lament. No other player had crossed the river of lament with the portal yet.

Since this was the first loot ever from the river of lament, calling it a specialty was not an exaggeration. Weed appearing out of the portal, made the crowd watching him want to ask many questions about the Quest and regarding Jeonshin Weed!

However the curious crowd began flocking closer eyeing the quality of the loot, not really interested in actually buying it.

Merchants and wizards were quite surprised to see all the benefits that the bug antenna had. It was Magicl material that can amplify mana in Magicl staffs. To bring something like this to Enchanters could net loads of gold. The wizard shouted out loud after checking the item info. He wanted to buy as much as he possibly could.

“I’ll buy it! I’ll buy as many antennas for 350 gold!”

“I am willing to buy for 533 gold.”

“539 gold!”

“I have 540 gold.”

“I have 555 gold to buy all your stock.”

Loot value is generally fixed. With their trading skills merchants can sell loot from users to the stores at higher prices. If the accounting skills of merchants is at a high level they can buy goods from the store at a cheaper price. They have a mutual relationship.

Also, depending on the village contribution to the development, merchants could receive a higher price. Wizards can pass the material directly to the blacksmith to process it.

“I’ll buy for 570 gold!” Seems like the merchants are trying to elevate the price.

“580 gold!”

“I’ll buy at quantities worth 600 gold.”

Rare first loot will sell for a big income. Trading skills also increased alongside a good reputation from someone who purchases from them! Weed lured the merchants’ noses.

Weed had a whole lot of antenna worth 620 at the final bid, fangs worth 320 gold. Those can be sold in stores for a much higher, more satisfying price. Merchants also could sell specialty products without having to spend a little money for other benefits, like raising trading skill level and reputation. Weed pulled out another backpack.

“Well, here is the headband of Embinyu high priest. Leader of the Alliance quests and loot acquired! Souvenirs for those who want it,but you have to get in line. Will sell for 15 gold each.”  Embinyu headbands with inscribed marks of the church. In addition to three properties the armor also has a high defense rating. Even though the loot items looked expensive, it was actually pretty cheap.

“That looks good.”

“My treat.”

“One for me, please.”

Weed sold souvenirs and the crowd ate it up. ‘The atmosphere has heated up now, I’ll take my time to sell.’ Sales discounts and special deals, like buy five – get one free, was also promoted. The headbands sold in a flash!

 

“Then the next thing ……”  Weed released goods that were actually loot with much less importance! Obtained from hunting the undead. Undead cracked bones and weapons such as rusty swords. Rusty weapons have much less durability, used by the undead, so they crumbled rapidly. Weed who was buried with customers selling his loot like hot cakes, because of the massive discounts, was measured by envious looks from the merchants nearby.

“Please be patient, Sir.”

Weed used the grind sword skill and polish armor to improve the outer appearance.

“Selling lucky charms and souvenirs! It’s not everyday you can have this chance of a lifetime. After today, I won’t sell the same thing again.”

In terms of available stocks, there wasn’t nearly enough stuff to be sold. Skeleton bones sold for whopping 1 gold. Rover now with an empty backpack quietly walked away. He then waited in a location at Morata for a secret meeting with a man. A shady person waved from the alley. Covering his face with a robe, that man was waiting in the dark alley.

“I’m Rover. I’ve heard so much.”

Eummeoeoeoeoeo!

“Everything is here. 60/40 revenue share, exactly as Weed talked in private.”

Rover, getting the deal, nodded his head. And the empty backpack is was filled to the brim with loots. The man waiting in the alley was Mapan.

“I can’t miss this opportunity, to sell loot at a much more expensive price.”

Usually disguised as a souvenir, some of the worthless loot has been tricked out to be sold with more money. Weed is carving the bone with some inscribing.

I remembered my hard-fought battle against Undead Lord Bar-Khan. Weed.

Weed was tricking people into thinking that the bones are from fighting with Bar-Khan, actually it’s just a normal undead bone.

‘To be honest, I did not fight with Bar-Khan. It’s largely derived from some undead barbarians who ambushed him!’

 

Royal Road’s Jeonshin Weed bulletin became a hot topic. Quests from the Continent of Magic, which he was one of the few people who solved many of them had garnered him respect from many people. But more people were tipped off to his evil deeds.

With his combat skills, battles are just an afterthought. Seriously wounded while chased by Weed and almost got into a trap.

- What dungeon it was? – What do you got from the boss monster? – That I’m not entirely sure. I was dead, caught in the middle of Weed’s battle.  Weed usually avoids dispute and hunt alone.  Weed lone hunter did not get mixed up on minor dispute. Only you do not like the eyes to kill.

-A guild was also killed for being bothersome. Gained some notoriety as a ruthless and cold killer.

CTS Media had massive amounts of funding which were used to gather information.

“We can’t fall behind in the news.  There are a lot more important stories to broadcast than something about artists.  ”
 

The Royal Road users were growing exponentially. In Republic of Korea, as well as around the world someone who does not play Royal road is treated like a caveman. Africa and the Middle East, Latin America are also ripe with users. Arab royal family and even drug dealers in Latin America are hooked enough to Royal Road! Many foreign users are considerably confused by this situation, but they quietly enjoyed the new world. Collecting items, leveling up and watching your character grow was only a small part of the real fun. Some people were desperate for extreme growth, leveling up and collecting items. Settling mainly in Central and Western continents, many users also migrating to the northern region. As families enjoying the beauty that the new world has to offer many people do not object paying for it. CTS Media focuses in pushing “Heroes of the Versailles Continent” that will be interpreted and televised around the world. Royal Road’s explosive growth is also closely related to revenue the broadcasters can generate.

 
“There’s no greater news that can attract such attention. The program will be forced to broadcast without a good headline!”

CTS Media had bought a significant amount of Unicorn shares, making Unicorn Directors afraid to oppose them so CTS Media reporters can roam free and block other broadcaster’s reporter from taking exclusive headlines.

CTS media was among the top broadcasts, and had signed a deal with overseas broadcasters. Given that a parent company with world-class multinational companies, their active mobilization was because of their connections. All rights to the vast flow of resources, contracts and sales were received in accordance with certain royalty payments. International users also buy the capsule and paid the fees, as the broadcast industry expanded, the Royal Road is generating a huge capita to the Republic of Korea.  The market share of CTS Media is far ahead because they are investing their money on Royal Road. Buying stocks from Unicorn increased their influence at the board of directors so they have a commanding vote. Even for Unicorn, comparing the total revenues or relative cash earnings was not enough. Unicorn’s dependancy on the world’s business community has lessened, since someone had already bought the majority of their shares since they sold their stock in the early days

CTS Media dispatched reporters straight to the users to acquire information in Royal Road. Those who were talked to include many of the mainstream and hardcore users, and even some governors.

“We are broadcasters and we want to do an exclusive interview with you.” The vast majority of users are easily swayed in front of money.

“It seems okay to me….are you going to give me some money?”

“Of course. And please give us information about what is happening inside the governing territory. Please make sure that other broadcaster agents can’t gather information here.”

Guild with difficulties in governing their region was not asked. Reporter’s activities and identities were hidden, and they try to block other broadcasters from receiving a headline. To cover such activities at such extent was hard and it cannot be sustained for a long time. Guilds claiming that they haven’t eaten for a day or two to appear in headline stories are not that difficult.

“Yes, sir, we appreciate it.”  CTS Media has struck a deal with many small and medium-lords at Versailles Continent.

 
But the negotiation between larger guilds has not been that easy. The smaller kingdom has several sources of income. Tax, small amount of donations from the guild, hunting fees, selling weapons and armor, etc, and so much profit being made. Prestigious guilds are already commercial-minded, operating in the level of small scale-enterprises.

“This is the amount listed on the contract.”

“We will not move on the amount of this degree.”

A contact with the Director of the Broadcaster has been lost. Virtual Continent of Versailles lacked any factions and forces in it so a great ruler is needed. Even broadcasters that violate the rules cannot get any coverage. If they could not get any new coverage they will be in a weak position. Larger guilds cannot exert their power to abuse because they are afraid to be portrayed in a negative light.

“We managed to contact the representative of Central Continent to no avail. What about the progress in south and west?”

“Today, no, tomorrow we will contact with representatives from the users.”

“What’s their reaction?”

“Thanks to the central continent, the trading decisions are decided faster. We managed to contact the majority of the bigger guilds.”

“It’s not bad news.”

West Continent of Versailles is much different from those in other regions. The Central continent has strong centralized country that take place. Fertile land and mines, which boasts the biggest population and power. Great potential are in those emerging countries in the East, and in the Southern part the development of magic is quite advanced. But the northern part is more active in terms of adventure and innovations.

Versailles is a continent with a very wide area, but away from the central continent, there is less information available.The western part tends to have a strong nationalism, especially when a guild is composed mainly from one ethnic origin (Chinese only guilds, or American players guild for example).

In many western grasslands and deserts, nomadic warriors forged a strong kinship with their other nomads and created strong bonds. If you are not some wanderers from the center of the continent, most guilds were determined according to ethnic origin. Compared to the Central continent, the size of the territory of each guilds and their members tended to vary

“It’s good. Who’s getting in touch with the north? “

CTS Media’s managing director in the conference room was presiding over the meeting in person.

“If the northern representative is truly the Weed from Mora. Then in the past, we also have a deal before.”

“Who’s contacted him? Who’s in charge?”

“President’s Secretary Nahee Yoon.”

Weed entering a contract with KMC Media in the broadcasting business, the contract is still in effect, so they have to back off for now.

Volume 17 Chapter 2 : Blacksmith of the Magic Sword

Because of Weed, the famous city of Dwarf artisans, Kuroso, had become famous. Now many would come and marvel at the sight of Kendellev’s restored water sculpture or browse the still excellent selection of weapons and armour from the Dwarven craftsmen.

“Haah, if only I had a little more money then I could buy this….. Mr. Dwarf, could you give me a small discount?”

“No, not even one penny.”

Even just glancing around, users could easily be seen trying to bargain with Dwarves. All of the items and even the accessories that the Dwarves sold were ludicrously expensive.

However it wasn’t gold or jewels that people traded, but high quality items. It was a fact that the dwarves produced such high quality goods, that any shop-owner in any village would happily buy them from you.

For many Dwarves, their favorite thing to do was to get into troublesome quarrels with the users; however, there were many Dwarves who were obsessed with applying their crafts, and never left their work

“Hm.”

Fabio was sharpening a completed sword against the grinder.

It wasn’t a skill exclusive to Weed, any intermediate blacksmith could learn the technique. Of course, Fabio who had never learned sewing, didn’t have the skills of ironing or hand-washing.

Sometimes, the swords he made drifted out into the open-market and caused an uproar. It would be easy for him to make money as a swordsmith, he was more than skilled enough. His weapons were more than just a level above those of ordinary smiths!

It was usually the case, that if you reached a high enough level, you could acquire anything through hunting, but the swords that Fabio had worked on wholeheartedly, were enough to draw even the high level users. This was because if you had a famous sword, there would be a noticeable difference in hunting speed. Korea’s obsession over Royal Road’s weapons and armour was almost scary.

Sometimes, when Fabio had made swords, he sent them out into the world, but he
 completely hid his own involvement. He would hide his activities by pretending to be a retired smith.

“The sword sharpening skill is truly great.”

Fabio was satisfied with the completed sword. It was only a temporary effect, but the attack was raised substantially. By mastering Advanced Smithing Skill to level 8 and Advanced Sword Sharpening Skill to level 6, the sword’s attack could be raised by as much as 85%. With just this, there were great benefits.

Although, even before he became the most famous blacksmith, there seemed to be no end to the issues he’d faced.

When his name spread throughout the game, customers had come from far away to purchase his wares. It is in the nature of the blacksmith profession that there will always be more demand than there is supply. With him being the highest grade of blacksmith, this was clearly the case with his work. He made money by charging a high price, which he would then reinvest in buying more materials for making armour.

Continuously hammering red-hot bars of iron in front of a blazing furnace was his job. It was lonely work, but he continued to forge items.

Using only the best materials, high level users would sign a contract with him to supply them with his wares.

After having appeared on television, he’d gained a lot of fans. He was an idol for beginner blacksmiths.

It wasn’t widely known, but Fabio was the leader of his own guild “Iron Road”. So on top of managing the guild, he would also produce all of their equipment.

He had more friends than ever, and held tremendous influence. His authority amongst the Dwarves was unrivalled.

Without a care, Fabio threw the sword he had only just crafted to the side. The sword landed in a pile of swords that was not unlike a mountain.

”Once again, my sword fell short of my expectations. A sword that is in every way perfect. I want only to make a sword that is the best on the Versailles continent. “

The unique skills of the Blacksmith class!

While walking the path of a Blacksmith, Fabio had learned various special skills

Advanced Mineral Refining level 3(25%): A skill used to refine ores by removing impurities converting them into useful materials. It could be described as one of the Blacksmiths most fundamental skills. It requires a deep understanding of fire, water, and metal. It was the very first special skill that a blacksmith could learn which allowed the processing of mineral ores. Fabio had learned this skill when he changed his job to that of an Ironblood Blacksmith.

“Keuheuhue, although when I think about it, I was shaking with rage at the job change.”

In order to become a Blacksmith, he had faced many terrible trials in the smithy. While he could have just gone to the Blacksmith guild like any other, he chose to discover the job change himself through making countless weapons and armour. He wanted to find it with his own eyes, and experience the feel of the hammer with his own hands. Like this, he spent more than a month of his precious time working in the smithy from the start of Royal Road. It was a class change quest obtained through tireless perseverance!

”The sorrow and tears I went through to obtain the job change quest, I will remember them for the rest of my life.”

The job change involved him running errands between Dwarven villages. Only then was he employed in the smithy and only then did he receive the quest.

The Blacksmith’s quest couldn’t be found in the guild, only in the smithy. Moreover, the only way that he could accomplish the quest was to learn it from either the guild or the smithy. He had to make not just one, but many different kinds of equipment. Like this, he performed countless random quests in order to raise his reputation and earn money. Through doing these quests, he learnt skills such as the Equipment Enhancement Skill.

- Advanced Equipment Enhancement level 1 (16%): The blacksmith’s hand can draw out the hidden potential of equipment. After noticing various imperfections in equipment, they can be corrected.

This was the skill that made Fabio famous!

He had learnt this skill when he became an intermediate blacksmith. But as they say, ‘Hide three-tenths of your full ability’. If you recklessly unveil your skills on the Versailles continent, where there are never-ending wars for supremacy, you will get dragged into a confrontation, and it could easily cost you your life

While Fabio strengthened armour through Equipment Enhancement, he deliberately hid his ability to strengthen swords. If he had strengthened swords as well, he could have earned piles of money. He could have earned in a day what he had earned in a month by just strengthening armor. A Blacksmith was a profitable profession which could earn money, even without the help of merchants, however he could have earned a lot more.

If it was publicly known that Blacksmiths could make that much money, many more people would have chosen to become a blacksmith.

”Competition would increase and I wouldn’t be able to relax for even a moment.”

Fabio only strengthened the armour only moderately. This was because he didn’t care about earning money, what he wanted was to master the Blacksmith profession and make the very best weapons and armour he could.

Just by making money through the Equipment Enhancement skill he could accumulate unlimited ores. Enough to purchase exclusively from Thor Kingdom’s mithril, iron, and silver mines. He had already raised the Blacksmith skill to the advanced levels.
By doing quests and making close ties with the locals, he had acquired several other Blacksmith specialty skills.

- Beginner Ego Sword Crafting level 8(49%): An ability used to infuse a soul into equipment.
A tremendous amount of mana and a special soul was needed for this.

A lot was expected from an Ego Sword. But it was a mistake to expect that something great and powerful would appear!

For a test, Fabio took the sword that he had made and sold it off. He’d wanted to see to see the growth of the Ego Sword for himself. However, it was very likely that beginner and intermediate users might just wear the sword down to uselessness while hunting, and throw it away.

Beginner’s Magic Sword Crafting 1(3%) : Magic Swords can be produced. A completed magic sword will have special abilities related to the characteristics of the material used. Magicl abilities can be placed into the sword and used.

This was now the skill that Fabio was most focused on and expected the most from.

“I will make the best magic-enhanced swords.”

It wasn’t an impossible task. A few magic items can be obtained from exploring deep dungeons or from hunting ancient monsters. These items can be used to drive the creation of the ultimate magic sword.

“An authentic magic sword is something that only a blacksmith, and not a wizard could make.”

A sword that a wizard has enhanced with all his mana can grant Magicl benefits for a few
 uses. But a blacksmith can create a sword that has these readily available. It was a special skill that Fabio had obtained after taking and defeating countless blacksmith quests.

Magic Sword Smithing is the hidden skill of Dwarven blacksmiths, it is most despised by dragon Akryong K. Bern. Ordinary swords can’t even scratch Akryong’s hide, and fighting against a dragon with magic is extremely reckless. It is believed that the only way Akryong can successfully be hunted is if a Dwarven blacksmith stabs him with a sword and uses magic to set off an explosion around the wound.

Secretly, he led his guild to go and defeat the job-change quest.
A magic sword’s attack was generally stronger than an ordinary sword, and whenever it absorbs blood, it increases character growth. Because it has less adverse side-effects than the Ego Sword, it may even be better to use as a main weapon.

He couldn’t rest, for at this moment on the Versailles continent, other blacksmiths were

The Red Mercenary Guild. A vast guild whose influence had spread across more than a single country of the Versailles continent.

Only mercenaries with a level of 280 or higher were allowed to join. In each country they operated in, they built branch offices, and they had wisely gained control of the entire territory surrounding the affluent Nemir lake.

They had conquered a vast territory for themselves, including 5 castles and 28 cities.

The Crimson Mercenary Guild held their meetings in Haryun castle, the castle closest to Nemir lake.

“About the God of War Weed.”
 “Guild leader, why don’t we subjugate him already?”

Maren, the leader of the Red Mercenary guild, nodded his head.

“If it’s Weed, there are plenty of reasons for crushing him.”

The glory they could receive from fighting and defeating the God of War Weed! For the Red Mercenary Guild, who schemed supremacy of the whole Versailles continent, the thought filled them with greed.

But there were still mercenaries whose heads shook in disapproval.

“In Continent of Magic, mercenaries were like heroes. It would be unreasonable for us,
 the representatives of the mercenaries, to crush him.”

“Justification is needed. If we attack him without any reasons, others will say that we’re
 no different than brigands?”

“What does justification matter. We have to think about our honour! It’s an
 opportunity to gain the honor of fighting and winning against the God of War Weed.”

“We don’t really know whether we will receive honor or condemnation.”

The 20 senior mercenaries refused to yield their position, and continued to argue.

At first, the mercenary guild’s chief Maren had felt the desire to crush Weed as well, but
 after hearing the opposing arguments, he was forced to rethink his position.

There could be glory. Killing the God of War Weed would offer a glorious title.

However, the users who crushed Weed would also receive a lot of antipathy. Even the users from the Continent of Magic didn’t hate Weed. Napgell, one of the senior mercenaries, spoke up.

“If the whole guild went against the God of War Weed and crushed him under foot, what kind of honour would we be able to obtain? Among all of you, is there anyone who is confident
 that they can win in a one-on-one fight with Weed?”

“……”

With that, the whole group became silent. Even Maren knew that he couldn’t speak carelessly here. Weed had never publicly revealed his level or skills.

“It’s difficult to see him as just a regular sculptor. What could fight like Weed did at the
 Palrangka Conflict?”

He imagined a scene where Weed publicly slit Maren’s throat while laughing cruelly.

“Gulp.”

Maren could not act recklessly.

“I don’t think we would lose, but there are still many problems to worry about.”

“Besides, if we sent a campaign to the North, it could also present a good opportunity for our enemies who’ve been waiting for a chance to strike at us. ”

Though there were many other competing mercenary guilds, there was nothing to stop them from cooperating and attacking their guild together. This task was something that could trouble the Red Mercenary guild in many ways.

Weed sold off most of the loot, leaving only a few pieces. He intended to find separate buyers for the large and ostentatious Sapphire crystal, Jordiah’s Seal, the diamonds, and Israen’s magic armour.

“It would be good if I could sell the large crystal to a noble after I refine it with sculpting
 and make it into an ornament… it also wouldn’t be bad if I saved it for when I need to create
 a light sculpture. The remaining items can be passed on through the auction-house or
 through the Dark Gamer’s Union.”

A vanity table and a dinner table made from crystal! These articles would be hard to sell in the North, but they were luxury goods that would sell for a high price in a kingdom from the central continent.

After Weed sold the miscellaneous items, he walked over to Morata with Rover. The people recognized him, greeted him accordingly.

“Welcome Lord.”

“Lord, they say you’ve succeeded in a great quest once again… later, please make sure to tell us your story. My son says that he definitely wants to be like you when he grows up.”

“Count of Morata, I am a trader from the Rintol kingdom. It is an honour to meet such a
 famous adventurer.”

Because of the enormous fame he had obtained from fighting at the Wailing River, even NPCs from the central continent would greet him warmly.

“These delicious apples were grown in our front-yard. Please try these, they are our tastiest apples that we saved especially for you, Lord.”

A woman handed him a basketful of apples! While taking the fruit to be sold at the market, she had seen the lord and offered the fruit to him.

Weed took the fruit basket and ate a well-ripened red apple while making a loud crunching sound.

“Rover, you should eat one too.”

He tossed a worm-ridden apple to Rover. The bull stuck out his tongue, caught the apple, opened his mouth wide, and crunched it up.

Weed proceeded to give him a lesson.

“Rover, from one person to another, if there’s hard work to be done you should help out. Haven’t you noticed that this sort of thing happens because of our everyday actions?”

Rover didn’t fully believe him, but just nodded his head while absorbed in his desire to eat the rest of the basket full of apples.

Morata was very different from the last time they had come. On the sturdy bridge serving as the entryway to the lord’s castle, mystical figures had been sculpted. Sculptors, artists, and painters had come to Morata and enriched the city.

“A shopping district is being made!”

“I’m a painter, please take me with you.”

“I’m a sculptor, I would like to participate. I’ll decorate your ceiling!”

When construction quests appeared, artists joined together to construct beautiful buildings. With its crystal clear river and lake, Morata’s beautiful sights continued to increase. Large ornaments could even be seen hung in Morata’s town square.

Another effect is that their intimacy with the townsfolk increases, and items can be bought very cheaply. The price they get for these goods are much better than they would get from regular merchants.

Furthermore, they will have the highest popularity with bartenders! People will also look for them specifically to offer them quests.

Spenson saw that in the future, Morata would grow to become the center of the North, and
 so had left the excavated item here.

Returning to Morata after a long time felt like experiencing an exciting adventure.

“It’s pretty.”

“It was a good decision to come here, right?”

“Uh-huh. The atmosphere is nice.”

One of the changes was the sight of many couples swarming like cockroaches on the bridge because of the good view of the surrounding buildings. As many beginners were starting in Morata, many couples were forming. A love that sprouts while hunting rabbits and foxes!

The sale of the large amount of items consumed by beginners, was the backbone of Morata’s economic development.

In Versailles continent’s eastern Rosenheim kingdom, there is nothing to cause such an influx of new users so as they outnumber the villagers from a lively town. There, it is common to see the sight of beginners with their starting equipment of a wooden sword and ten pieces of barley bread, which they eat sparingly while completing quests inside the city.

Morata, a delightful city that is full of vitality! You could see the growth that had occurred while Weed was away.

When beginners appeared, shops also quickly sprang up. Not just shops with cheap odds and ends, but shops that contained pretty decent purchases.

Traders, and people who wanted to build their own house had at first been stingy with artwork.

“What kind of help will that give……”
 “Just build it quicker. Make the warehouse a bit wider as well.”

However, buildings filled with excellent art had much better business. Even if the stores sell the same items, the store with a beautiful building attracts more people, so in Morata, investing in sculptures and paintings was no longer just a luxury.

Sculptors, painters, and architects gathered to create an incomparably beautiful city.

 throughout the Versailles continent, who visited Morata to play lively music, and added to
 Morata’s charms.

The bars, smithies, weapon shops, and armour shops were crowded by the beginners.
 There were so many users in the streets that it was like a festival.

“I wonder how much has changed while I was away. Area Information Window!”

A region that once belonged to Niflheim empire. The most prosperous part of the northern Versailles continent, it continues to grow. Merchants are busy trading with the many customers in their stores.With the artists stretching their wings, many tourists are being drawn to Morata. Due to culture, there are many immigrants, which is creating more jobs. The new incoming population are keen to do any kind of work.

The large number of sculptures are making the people’s lives happier. A few more paintings are needed.
There is an enduring trust in the artists who, by supporting the town, enhance its reputation. The people take pride in the fact that there are more artworks here than in any other city, and it is expected that the investments into the arts guilds will continue.
The sewing industry’s techniques have been inherited unbroken from its past. There is a bright outlook for the industry’s future, with the appearance of many more tailors.
While their techniques for handling iron are still basic, there are many new blacksmiths now producing weapons and armour.
The faith of this area is predominantly belief in the goddess Freya. The people’s faith is strong and will not be easily changed. The Church of Freya’s influence can be seen in the benefits to vitality, satisfaction, and fertility that are enjoyed by the people of Morata.

He used blacksmithing to extract raw ores from the materials. Among the materials that were extracted Weed decided to use brass. With its low price and nice colour, brass was highly favoured by beginners! In fact, if a store had around 200 000 brass, it was more common for them just to throw it out rather than turn them into weapons. The strength was terrible and the damage was low, because of that, the weapons would often crack in the middle of a fight.

“However, as far as sculpting goes, it’s a blessing.”

Durability wasn’t an important factor for a sculpture. With such a giant sculpture there was no reason to worry about it breaking. The colour of brass was quite beautiful as well.

Earth Expert was ordered into the sculpture mold. (T/N: i’m guessing this was to reduce the amount of brass it would take to fill the mold. LOL). It was then filled with raw material. (T/N: In molten form I guess, poor Earth Expert)

A colossal brass sculpture appeared from the mold. A massive sculpture created at the expense of Earth Expert. It was sleek and in the shape of a giant lizard. It was subjacent to the original, A Black Imugi with short limbs!

‘Not yet, the precise form of the final product should be more refined.’

The head was delicately sculpted, Weed’s memories of the Black Imugi’s head were still vivid in his mind, which was acquired from his last quest. (T/N: Basically an Imugi is a giant snake that is not quite (at least not yet) a dragon, read previous volume summary someone explained it there, further note: It’s not a wyrm)

A level 400 boss class monster, even with an entire guild fighting it, the odds of victory would be slim. Victory would only come with heavy sacrifices! King Hydra and Black Imugi were monsters that had never been successfully hunted until Weed.

Weed finished sculpting the Dragon’s head and wings, torso, and toes carefully. Because it was a creature who he’d fought directly, he was better able to express its cruel, and barbarous appearance. Its Dragon wings outstretched, with a long and twisted neck. In its snout and eyes, you could feel its gaze, glaring at onlookers below.

A sculpture in memory of the Black Imugi’s might.

So far Weed had made many sculptures of humans in attempts to increase familiarity. This new approach was not like that. He couldn’t just create a giant sculptor of Seoyoon like in the beginning.
30 more stuffed animals were completed with sweet friendly faces. Fierce animal dolls such as the lion, elephant, bear, cheetah, rhinoceros and other wild animals had all taken up cute poses.

They definitely did not match with Weed’s serious preferences, but they were made for children in the first place. From the sewn leather plushies he had created 5 masterpieces. Styrene stay silent for a while. With Weeds cruelty and strength taking over would be no ordinary challenge. Without Weed Morata would have already been razed to the ground.  Weed concentrated all his attention on developing his sewing sculpture skills. Because creating dolls is a specialized skill. After a certain level the skill professions start to blend together. Blacksmiths are able to create finer and detailed work tailors more diverse clothes. Sculpture showed its best work when it became a hybrid character.

After experimenting with many failures one can create a Perfect masterpiece with god like qualities. Whit thought like that weed had worked him self to the bone. But the perfect picture would not come.

But in Morata, there one majorly common type of housing.

Although they were just PanJiat houses, that can barely fend away rain or wind, no one was embarrassed since so many people own one.

Since even beginners could own one if they get wood, anyone around level 20 or 30 could own a house.

The dream of owning a house was achieved this easily.

Beginners that got their own house store items or equipments they don’t use in the house and can call over friends to have a party.

Since Morata was their hometown and where their house were, beginners didn’t leave Morata easily even after they levelled up.

Originally, if lots of PanJiat houses are built, crime rate and hygiene decreases significantly, so not many places allow them to be built.

In other cities, buying land itself is very expensive, so huge sum of money is required.

However, Morata had very cheap price for land, and had fairly low crime rate and good hygiene. Land was cheap, because the lord made expensive waterway and formed vigilante corps. The Order of Freya actively gave aid to the poor as well, so not many thieves came out.

“There is no other places that suit more to have PanJiat houses.”

Pabo built lots of PanJiat houses.

PanJiat houses he made were sturdy and had good use of space, so PanJiat houses he made were popular.

PanJiat house newly built have its own mood too.

Although after some time, aging of the house begins, and rainwater leaks through due to rotting of the house. New PanJiat houses were alright.

Adventurers or Merchants from Central Continent, or rich users wanted high quality housing.

Hwaryeong steps up as if she’s been waiting for it. She couldn’t lose a chance to be with Weed.

“If it’s Hwaryeong-nim, Weed-nim will welcome you without question. But he says he needs someone who can cure poison. Irene, do you want to go too?”

“What about the party here if I go?”

“We’ll manage somehow. We have Da’in-nim too, so we should be fine.”

Pale’s party working on many quests in Morata.

While getting ‘Ancient breastplate recipe’, they were doing hunting and quests.

The quest they were doing right now was a very dangerous dungeon hunting quest where very strong monsters ambushed although it was only difficulty Level C.

Since they formed a party without a Warrior or a Knight, they were a bit unstable. Although Zephyr took the role of defending, they were in trouble when numerous monsters attacked at once. They often confused monsters with Hwaryeong’s Dance of Chaos or Dance of Temptation, but if her and Irene were both absent, it would impact the expedition quite a bit.

Shaman was a job that truly symbolized mix-matched character!

“If it’s Da’in-nim, I can trust you. You can cure poison and heal. Hwaryeong-nim and Da’in-nim should both go and give some help.”

After deciding who will go to underground prison, Yurin drew a picture following Weed’s description.

Of course, she had to draw all the people on one picture, so teleporting unreasonably many people was impossible. you boil bone with water, for a while to have the bone brew out the taste to make soup. It may sound scary, but it’s not. It’s actually just like broth, just that it’s more light than broth.) and eat it with rice.”

Yurin was joking and playing around, because she was in front of Weed!

Rover’s facial expression died out darkly.

In midst of all that, Weed and Da’in looked at each other. Due to a remnant of a curse, Da’in got at Morata, her face was distorted to the point it was hard to recognize her. She could’ve lifted the curse, but she wanted to see how Weed was doing and let it be. Da’in bowed first and greeted him first.

“Nice to meet you. I heard a lot about you.”

It was greeting given, while hiding the complex feeling she had meeting him, after such a long time. Weed introduced himself briefly.

“I’m Sculptor Weed. You must be the Shaman Pale-nim told me about.”

“Call me Da’in.”

Conspicuousness flashed by in Weed’s eyes.
When he heard that a member of Pale’s party was a Shaman called Da’in, he thought it was a very strange coincidence.

“Da’in… and you’re a Shaman.”

“Is something wrong?”

Weed shook his head as if he wanted to shake away something.

“Nothing. I just thought of memory of past.”

“What a huge underground dungeon. I never knew it would be this deep.” Warrior Hon looked around. Underground Prison of Embinue showed off its grand scale. Complex maze and various experiment samples. Monsters were at a high level, and traps were everywhere. The Thief user in the party disassembled all the traps, but they got lost and took over fifty days to arrive at where the Priests of Mathalos Order were tied.

Users who received the quest of rescuing the Captives of Mathalos Order were over 40,and all of them were high levelled.

He could search every nook and cranny of this vast dungeon, with the help of Adventurer and the Elemental Shaman, and arrive there.

The Holy Knight Villeo spoke.

“Underground prison under Ambinu Fort… It really wasn’t any normal dungeon. When would Weed come?”

Magician Eastern replied while relaxedly starting a campfire.

“Since I heard he just set off from Morata, wouldn’t he take about five days?”

Garic seemed as if he couldn’t accept it. “That fast?”

He meant that that was too fast of an arrival compared to how much trouble they went through.

“We told him the way. We also disassembled all traps, so within four or five days, he should be able to arrive here without trouble. Although he might arrive later.”

Hon made a decision as the party leader.

“Then, let’s hunt around this region since we can’t sit here and waste our time.”

Weed approached Dark Knights guarding the entrance to the underground prison.  Because he made a legendary sculpture and watched it, and had Shaman’s skills, he moved fast as if he was flying.

“There are fifteen Dark Knights we have to defeat.”

The Priest of Destruction from Dethemele Order, were also helping the Dark Knights. To enter the underground prison, he had to defeat them first.

Although it was only a short moment, usually users fought the doorkeepers after having certain numbers of parties gathered.

Dark Knight who could be fought with ease when at least 20 people gathered! Weed tried to fight with only Hwaryeong, Da’in, and Yurin.

‘If we have too many, it’ll be only annoying.’

When hunting alone, he was enough. If he had these kind of companions, it’s more more than enough. When members increase, he have to share drops, and the pain of that is something that cannot be explained!

“What the… Are they just going to hunt like that? Are they crazy?”

“You looked at them on TV. How amazingly strong he is.”

“He could only succeed in the quest because he had many barbarians helping him”

“He should only be able to get into the underground prison with our help….”

“Let’s watch for now. They’ll call for help if they need it.”

If it was Hwaryeong’s charm, even Rover would wag his tail.

Other than necessary charm skills as a Dancer, when looking at clothes, accessory, tempting people with beautiful and tempting dance. There wouldn’t be any men who will not fall head-to-toe over her.

 “My life is very low. If I get hit by monster as strong as Dark Knight, I would die instantly. Will we be ok?”

Sometimes, Knights would stubbornly request one-on-one battle. Because they had honor and fame, Knights requested one-on-one battle.

But, such rule didn’t work on Weed. It was because he and the Ambinu Order formed enemy relationship, that cannot be compromised.

Dark Knights charging while making the sounds of armor and bones hitting one another was terrifying. The Knight’s Charge was strong enough to injure the thick body of King Hydra. Because the enormous weight of the armor was helping the charge, even if he used shield to block, life and vitality drops a lot. Often, he may get stunned due to the shock.

 But Weed too had defense skill. Closed Eye!

A Warriors’ skill that raised Fortitude and Resilience by limiting the sight.

Not only that, but Moonlight Sculpting Blade was also a skill that had both attack and defense method, although he does not use it often.

He could’ve hit then after pouring out light, but he would be using up too much mana. It only took a moment to swing his knife and cutting up the monsters and destroy them.

7 Keletap! The battle would’ve took longer when fighting normally, but it finished in only 30 to 40 seconds!

Using the Wing of Light, he gave life too. He could dodge or counter monsters. There were many methods he could’ve used to fight. But Weed almost never had to do his all to fight. Although when befalling the Ambinu Fort, it was the greatest chance to fight, it was due to the summoned Barcan, King Hydra, and Python, who fought better than his expectation.

He was going to momentarily reveal his true self, when cutting King Hydra’s neck, but he finished it boringly, when he became tired.

Compared to the Weed’s growth, most of battle was now tedious.

Battles in which he does his best, does not let him raise Endurance or Resilience. For the maximum hunting effectiveness, he has to sacrifice without much benefit.

Underground prison are said to have monsters everywhere. Since he expect battle to continue, he cannot rely on skill that uses mana.

“Heukkun, make the land around me into mud.” He summoned the spirit of earth in blink of an eye. Weed made the spirit himself. He was fresh, new and had only used a small amount of mana. He was also a very obedient spirit. Now that his mana recovery rate was faster, he can use spirits in however ways he wanted.

“I have come to listen to the most handsome guy in all Versaille Continent, Weed-nim. I will make the earth into mud now.”

Other spirits were arrogant and took too much time to summon. Even if they had high friendliness with the spirit master; it was rare for them to listen to him. However, Heukkun come right away as soon as he’s called.

The earth the knights charged on soon changed into a mud pool, that came up to their ankles. The armored Knights rolled over and struggled in the earth that turned into a swamp.

“What is that spirit?”

“Is that the spirit of earth? It appeared so quickly!”

hose who saw Heukkun showed an amazed reaction.

“Hurray for absolute charisma Weed-nim! I have completed your comment. Is there anything else I should do? Use me however way you want.”

Weed said as if he’s facing an enemy. “You fight as well.”

“Thank you, master. I will never forget your kindness. I will treasure it deep down in earth.” Heukkun raised earth and threw it over the Dark Knights.

Although it didn’t have much damage because it’s just earth, it had hidden rocks, so the Dark Knights had to deal with it. Heukkun used little mana, although he was a spirit.

The Weed of now, was like a spring overflowing with mana, he didn’t need to save either. “Heukkun you can use my mana, however much you want.”

“It is an honor, master.”

Earth rained down from sky like volcano rememants. Weed jumped into the swamp of Dark Knights, sunk down to their thighs.

Wherever he stepped turned solid, so he didn’t have problem walking.

“Enemy of Ambinu Order!”

“You have done well to come. I will slay you.”

Dark Knights swung at Weed, they were panicking due to the earth.

The Knights were humungous, but because their legs were sunk under earth, their height was about the same.

The swords the Dark Knights were swinging were covered with earth, and swung chaotically.

The sword Weed swung, made beautiful sounds and continually flowed towards the the Dark Knights’ swords.

Where Dark Knights were crowded, a path opened up as if snow storm parted its way.

“Bone Cutter!”

“Sharpness Blade!”

“Illusion Sword!”

As Dark Knight’s swords shined, the skills activated.

Damage enhancing skill that cutted out opponents’ bone!

Penetrating skill by focusing strength with accuracy!

The Dark Knights even used skill that separated sword to form five swords.

The Dark Knights attack, surround Weed and flew toward him.

Weed sharply turned his body. He dodged Bone Cutter, that would have given him critical damage, and dodged swords that attacked in a straight line by curving his body backward. After barely dodging, the attack of five separated sword. Weed’s eyes shined.

On the other hand, Weed usually trusted sculpting blade and covered up rest of things with his body. He grew up using close combats that uses the least mana and raises skill and resilience. Even if Knights were fast and sharp, because he had experience, he could dodge most of them.

‘Plus… their swords are much slower than SaHyungs’ or Master’s.’

Even when looking at footwork, he can somewhat guess where he’ll head to.

Weed inputted Dark Knights’ location and attack direction in his head and moved between them.

He dug in as he let sword slip and reflect. Weed’s Right Hand Sword skill, which is at Intermediate level 7 became the basis of the battle.

Because his Sword skill was higher than Dark Knights, when hitting exact target point, opponents’ attack skills often cancelled out.

“Triple!”

Weed used minimum skill possible and slashed Dark Knights as if he was just walking by them. He avoided using his specialty Sculpting Blade to avoid the audience’s eyes. Not revealing all of his capability is helpful in preparing unexpected situations. Sculpting blade is more effective when fighting against stronger monsters than normal monsters, especially when slaying Knights or Warriors.

“Euuk!”

“He slipped away.”

Dark Knights screamed and moaned, but didn’t fall.

This was why it was difficult to deal with Knight; they had amazing defense and life because they had full plate armor. But damage didn’t end as small cut. Weed’s sword was a Demon Sword, said to have slayed a Demon.

- Demon Sword’s Freezing Curse.

Part of body freezes and lowers strength and agility greatly.

Ice elemental damage is give every second and decreases life by 35.

- Demon Sword’s Broken Rock Curse.

Crack appears on equiped armors and durability continues to drop.

Defense is lowered.

- Demon Sword’s Succubus Curse.

Evil spirits clings on, causing illusions, and destroys those whose mentality is weakened in high speed.

Due to Weed’s invasion, the Dark Knights fell in chaos.

Using the gap made for an instant, Hwaryeong walked between Knights.

“Dance of Temptation!”

 
Bubi Bubi! A dance that can only be seen at a club or night concert!

When Hwaryeong’s body passes by lightly touching Dark Knights, they stopped at the spot as if they froze. With eyes that lost focus, they drooled and losted their minds. Hwaryeong skills grew while Weed had not see her; so when she dances butterflies flies and flower petals scattered.
“Dancer has to be graceful all the time!”

She was using Scattering Flower skill as a bonus!

When Hwaryeong passes while dancing, a very tempting fragrance is left behind. It was only an instant, but over 10 Dark Knights were charmed and lost their fighting spirit.

“Kuaaak!”

Weed started with Priests who had weaker defense. Although Priests had higher level, their life was low, so it didn’t take much time. When he cleared out the Priests, thanks to Hwaryeong’s incredible performance, the Dark Knights attacking Weed, decreased to only three!

“Too easy.”

Weed and Hwaryeong worked in perfect coordination.

Weed dodged the three Dark Knights’ attack like nothing and actively counter attacked.

 

-Critical Damage

Every single time, and accurate hits!

Weed used the Coldream’s Demon Sword, which slayed a demon very effectively. The Demon Sword gave a wings to a tiger. Based on strength and attack damage, it was important to give a critical damage, he made many small cuts. Using Demon Sword’s curse that overlap its effect seven times, he weakened Dark Knights significantly and then killed them.

Weed moved fantastically as if to make the armor he was wearing, feel like just heavy burden.

The audiences’ jaw dropped.

“What is this?”

“How can a person move like that? Does he see the Dark Knights’ attacks?”

“It’s not something you can do by seeing. See? He’s deflecting the sword by changing the direction of it, through hitting it in the middle.

 Even when they looked again after clearing their eyes, scenes that they could not be believe continued to happen.

Beginner Warriors or Knights usually have resilience, skill, and armor. Even when they get experienced enough, they usually use shield or weapon to block the attack. Yet Weed was dodging enemy attack with only an inch of gap, and backed up after hitting vital spots. If people knew that Weed was suppressing his original capability by a lot, they would feel a surge of of self doubt and defeat.

 “Even the videos of Versaille Continent’s most famous Warriors were not on this level.”

“Still, does he not have something called fear at all? How can he dash forward in that kind of situation?”

“I knew it when he fought riding on Wyverns. That kind of battle is too normal for Weed!”

As the battle went on, the audiences could not believe what was happening in front of their eyes; and yet couldn’t help but be captivated, by every single natural action of Weed’s.

 If he fought relying on his high level or skill, then they wouldn’t be this surprised, but the way he moved was art itself. Battle scenes that seem as if he’s enjoying the battle and controlling every single movement.

Users knew how amazing Weed’s action was.

“Stat, Skill, everything is optimized.”

“He using all into his fight.”

 High level users’ normal ability was about using character’s skill effectively. After judging which of various skills is most suited for the situation, he fights and wins. Compared to that, they could see Weed’s accurate judgement and movement, as if he was born for battling.

 Even if they’re the same characters, they differ depending on how they fight. Like how there’s a huge difference in battle games, when the players use the same characters. If it was a normal human, he wouldn’t dash into the middle of where Dark Knights swung their swords, and would try to deflect by hitting their swords. No, even before that, he wouldn’t try to fight Dark Knights with risk, and would have chose to gather more allies for safety.

 When looking at the battle, in which Weed dashed into without hesitation, there’s something that makes people’s blood hot. Making those who watch zealous, and become absorbed by the battle.

“There’s over 10 Dark Knights. But only 4 players are really hunting them. If they were late 300s level party, it would be possible but……”

“Look at the Artist over there! She’s wearing a tunic with level 30 restriction.”

“Is she really not even level 50?”

“Her job is an Artist. She’s not even fighting. She’s only doodling.”

Yurin was drawing Knights who were wearing formal and grand armor as ugly primitives. They had bushy beards, nose hair sticking out, and tights instead of armor.

 “The weapon the Shaman is equipped with, isn’t a good one either!”

“She’s a very famous Shaman in Morata. I partied with her once before, but… Her level is not even 250.”

“But they’re hunting Dark Knights nonetheless? Even if they have Weed that’s impossible.”

“Shaman’s amazing too, and I’ve never seen a Dancer get involved in battle as actively like that. I hope I could dance with such a charming Dancer like her….”

Dark Knights’ ability was rather amazing. They were Knights and they poured down very sturdy and heavy blows.

If he was in his level 300s, he would’ve hunted them filled with joy, because it would be a monster stronger than him.

But since Weed’s level is 370, they were somewhat easy to hunt.

The number that would’ve been just right for others, was just making Weed (who levelled up while struggling in disadvantageous situations) sleepy.

 ‘Too weak.’

Even after hunting a bunch of Dark Knights at once, this much made him only think it was boring. Even after Weed entered the underground prison, he easily cleared away the monsters. Since Hwaryeong makes them fall asleep, he could hunt the monsters way too easily; to the point where the hunt would feel meaningless.

Because there were lots of audiences, he couldn’t really get hit by Dark Knights on purpose to raise his resilience. Because he just made a sculpture, his life and mana recovery rates are monstrous, he wouldn’t usually die even after fighting and fighting.

 In front of Weed, Monk of Ambinu Order appeared. A pretty-fast group that uses punch or kick as main weapon. Weed used another skill over Sculpting Blade. It was possible only because Sculpting Blade was purely used to oppress sword skill.

 “15 Chained Hit.”

Beat up this way, beat up that way, beat up after chasing after him. Beat up once more, because he thought the skill the monk used, would’ve gone to waste otherwise. The sword went berserk and cut up Monks without mercy. It was to the point the audiences felt pity towards the Monks of Ambinu Order. Because mana recovery rate was so fast, even after he used a skill, it soon filled up.

“Weed! To come as far as here…! I’ve heard your dirty evil name several times. I will take revenge on you for the Ambinu Order.”

 Elite Dark Knight approached as he flapped his cape from underground prison. If it wasn’t Weed, it would’ve created excitement and nervousness.

 “Elite Dark Knight, you’ve come well. Sword Kaiser!”
 Strongest offensive skill that activates after dodging Elite Dark Knight’s attack and countering it!

 “Kuuk!”

Elite Dark Knight flew and hit the wall as if he’s nothing.

- Due to huge damage, Elite Dark Knight fell in panic state.

 Weed raised his sword and swung it.

“So why did you appear then? Just die! Die! Die!”

Elite Dark Knight lifted his shoulder protector, and lost his life in vain.

“Equipment!”

Weed stuck his tongue out and licked his lower lip.

The situation made his lip dry and become thirsty out of greed.

“Since it became like this, I should just raise my Sword skill, Offensive skill mastery, and Experience point then!”

 Pububuk!

Buuk! Kuang! Udangtang!

“Kuuaaak!”

After hunting without thinking of defensive stats, he left only a horrifying monster’s wreck. The audience that followed him slowly, increased distance between him and them and slowly went farther away.

“Uuu…”

“This is why people say the place Weed walks by monster will go extinct.”

“To think his personality was as dirty as that. He didn’t let go of even one and just kept on beating and beating and beating.”

 Weed knew about the complex underground blocked road from the expedition. Inside the hall, there were traps and was filled with monsters.

 “Make sure to check, and choose only the places without people.” Weed warned them. He might accidently become a murderer if he starts fire at where a party is hunting and kills them.

“We will accomplish the order with our life on the line. It is an honor for us to carry our your order without you forgetting about us.”

Inside the blocked road of underground prison was filled with Dark Knight and monsters.

 “Kuueee.”

“Keuk keuk keuk.”

The dry air at the hall where monsters stayed slowly became hot.

“Kuueeehhhh!”

 Monsters that are suffering while drooling!

Starting from where the hall is blocked, when the fire started to erupt explosively, they screamed and ran outside.

 “Nice harvest! 15 Chained Hit!”

Weed killed every single monsters as soon as they ran out from the fire.

Like an experienced farmor’s hoeing, he targetting monsters’ head, neck, and vital sports with accuracy.

“This is the true taste of hunting.”

In front of Weed, monsters died out like falling leaves.

When monsters turn gray and drop items and equipments, he sorts out expensive ones and put them on Rover’s back. His hands moved very quickly.

“Kuaa! This cannot be.”

“Is it really possible to hunt like that?”

The audience never seen such way of hunting.

If they were a normal hunting party, they would settle down on a hall or at a corner of a square to hunt. Chatting, cooking and eating food, and resting.

If monsters’ spawn rate is slow, they hunt more by moving to a different spot. In these cases, party leaders were usually Thief, Adventurer, or Assassin. It was because they needed to look for monster’s mark and run away. Considering the status of party members and looking for monsters were a leader’s responsibility. Thus a normal party increases hunting efficiency, by knowing geography and studying monsters characteristic.

But Weed was different.

The range of hunt wasn’t limited to one place or short hallway

This huge underground prison, considering the dungeon’s characteristic, he considered nearby region into his hunting range.

“This experience point must be rising like hell.”

“Look at the item. Since his hunting speed is fast, amazing amount of items are dropping.”

The audience were bottomlessly jealous of him!

This way of hunting could only be seen because Weed’s mana recovery rate was faster. Even if Weed fought while conserving life and mana, there was limit to it. Since he organized monsters that was difficult to handle, by making them sleep with Hwaryeong’s Dance of Temptation, it was comfortable too. Thanks to Da’in having a great skill as a Shaman, she helped greatly in battles. She helped Weed to hit Dark Knights with more accuracy and increased his agility and strength as well.

Thanks to Da’in battle became more comfortable and easier.

The one of the party that was hunting in underground prison was resting.

“Phew.”

Warrior was wiping away the sweat on his forehead.

“The level of monsters here is terrifying.”

Holy Priest also flopped down without even considering unfolding his priest cloths.

“When I go back to Morata, I’m going to show off to my friends. That I was hunting at underground prison.”

“It would’ve been a better hunt if we brought more friends…”

“Pfft. Don’t say that. There wouldn’t be many people who are hunting while getting a good amount of experience point like us.”

“We fought seven times already within two hours. This is great acheivement.”

It was when they were resting while sharing conversation.

11 ferocious Hunters of Ambinu cult were approaching them.

Party members held up their weapon and stood up.

“They are not giving us time to rest at all.”

“What should we do. There’s still some distance, should we run?”

 It was when they were talking worriedly; where the Hunters of the Cult were, a huge creature and people approached.

A man who wore dark black Talos armor, headpiece, and gloves dashed toward them. Behind him, an old mercenary and three girls were riding on a big healthy cow, following the man.

“The Dance of Temptation!”

 The Dancer got off from the cow and scattered Hunters of the Cult while dancing. Shaman used magic.

“Shaking eyes, increase the fear and let them see what they do not want to see.”

The Hunters of the Cult had weakest mind. Additionally, they were all men, so Hwaryeong’s dance easily took their sight. Digging into the gap, Da’in activated her highly mastered magic. Da’in didn’t even come down from Rover’s back.

“Oh Ambinu’s God, are you abandoning me?”

“I am in a cult. Give a judgement to me!”

 When Hunters of the Cult were screaming, Weed swung his sword.
 
“15 Chained Hits!”

Sword skill that had no retreat or giving up. As sword skill that gains power as one goes forward, it cut only the weakness of the Hunters of the Cult.

Due to Da’in’s reinforcement magic, strength, agility, and overall battle ability increased.

“15 Chained Hits!”

For hunting a group, he used effective skill without hesitation and pushed back the Hunters of the Cult. The Hunters organized their formation again and swung their weapon, but it was useless. Whenever Weed cut someone, the Hunter would be burning, filled with bugs, or his hair would turn into snakes due to the curse. After the battle, Yurin came down from Rover and picked up items.

“Run!”

Those who have cleared away the Hunters of the Cult in an instant ran to a different location. A line formed with light speed, hunting, and moving away!

From faraway, and filled with anger, monsters stumped and ran toward them. They headed toward the monster group and in an instant cleared them away and moved to a different place.

The people who were originally fighting in that spot, looked into space dumbfound and muttered.

 “Just what happened?”

“To take care of the Hunters of the Cult this quickly… Did you see the footwork of the Warrior? Even if it’s a skill, how can he jump into the enemy at that angle? He went behind the monster way too easily and swung his sword. Although he took some hits.”

“It looked like he was too annoyed to dodge and just let them hit him though?”

It wasn’t even a five minutes after they left.

On the dusk when others are asleep, Weed woke up early and logged in.

After logging out and moving around deep in the dungeon, no more audiences followed after him. Weed used the time when no one was around to practice controlling the sculpture of light!

Da’in also logged in early, so there were only two of them.

Weed quietly focused in on light sculpture.

Heavy air stood between them.

‘This is the only chance I can talk to him.’

Da’in opened up her mouth with courage.

“Yes?”

Weed’s formal and wary reaction.

When she first met him at Lavias, he was the same at then as well. Although she met him coincidentally in the dungeon, he was suspicious of her thinking that she was there to steal his items.

It was something she wanted to ask ever since she saw how Weed used Hwaryeong’s face to make the Freya Goddess Sculpture. Da’in hoped he still like her. Weed shook his head.

“I don’t.”

Da’in tried to suppress her rather disappointed feeling.

“Oh, I see. I’m sorry for asking something personal.”

“No, it’s fine.”

Weed focused on the sculpture again. He had strong focus and although he made sculptures when resting, he was acting exceptionally weird.

He never ignored another person when he tried to start up a conversation. But Da’in didn’t realize it because she was disturbed by what he said.

‘Since we already parted once before. It’s fine even if he doesn’t like me.’

Da’in spoke to him, suppressing her beating heart.

“Then… Did you have someone you use to like?”

Sometimes sudden and weird to the point, she would heal Ghoul, but the question was something that took lots of her courage. Weed’s fingers stopped for a moment.

At first, he couldn’t recognize her from her face. It was because her appearance was twisted by a lot because of a curse. But she was someone who listened to other’s well, and someone who could talk about anything with one’s heart wide open. The few words she spoke had the feeling of her.

The skill mastery that would be unique as a Shaman and the order she casts various supporting magic was the same. Shaman who was casting a supporting magic only cast them like a habit in an order she was comfortable with. But to Weed who was taking the casting, he could know who she was as soon as the supporting magic activated.

“Da’in. It was her. How can I ever forget about her?” It was Weed’s true feeling he tried hard to not show to the other girls.

“I was so happy for meeting her after such a long time. To know that she’s alive itself is… She wanted to live a new life after the surgery, so does she want to forget about the past? I don’t know why she pretend to not know me, but there should be a circumstance or a reason to it.”

Rover looked at Weed with his big clear eyes.
In the naive eyes, an image of a sad man with strengthless shoulders came in.

The Geomchi’s were instructing the way of the sword from  Rosenheim Kingdom in Training center at the Orc’s village . There were many who came for instruction because of its low price. It wasn’t easy to get a spot. Geomchi took on the management of Training center.

“All who want to learn the sword come to the training center!”

However most of the users reacted with skepticism.

“Training center? That where you hit the scarecrow. Why would I bother to do that? When comes down to fighting I can just learn use sword skills.”

Geomchi was getting laughed at by beginners! Still many novices came out of curiosity. When you first start out you can't leave your town or village for the first 4 weeks anyway.

“Hold back and swing with accuracy and you will achieve a stronger hit. Haphazardly swing at what’s in front won’t always get results. Instead, watch the monsters behavior and wait for the gap. That when you strike.
Geomchi had a lot experience as a dojo instructor, so he was very comfortable teaching beginners.

“You can learn to fight if you go to the training center.”

“It’ definitely better to learn. Hunting is completely different from people who haven’t learned.”

By teaching their sword skills an enormous amount of people had gathered. People who had already passed the 4 weeks of confinement would come back to the training center. Medium level users in the 200’s also quite often came. The training, which was filled with scarecrows , had become the place for the geomchi’s to teach Martial arts. Most of the practitioner’s thought that most people were annoying, but if you had enthusiasm you would be accepted. You didn’t even need money to become a disciple.

“If you do not know hunger then you can never become a true fighter. Hunger can bring out true strength of willpower.”

The Geomchi disciples had spread all over the Versailles continent. Shaped by strong shoulders, implicit dialogue, and sharp eyes the disciples spread throughout the Rosenheim Kingdom and the Eurokey mountains. Geomchi were called the master of the sword throughout the Rosenheim Kingdom and the Eurokey mountains.

Two Geomchis gathered at a tremendously sharp cliff. It also most look like a vertically plain.

“Brother, Let climb up here like Spider-Man.”

Geomchi’s would climb the Eurokey mountains cliff’s with Spirits. Hazardous climbs with little light served an important purpose, a chance to gain precious experience. Geomchi 51 climbed a ridge where would misstep would mean death.

“51 don’t fall.”
“Yes, to fall here means death”
“How does death fall?”

The height was so high the clouds hugged the mountainside. Geomchi 495 shook his head as he looked down.

“If I grab the tree branch in the middle then I can spring straight into that rock slip.”
“ So you're saying that climbing this way is too easy”
“Yes. If you don’t jump won’t it be to boring?

No Hesitation to say something that would shock any normal person. If one dies they receive a penalty of losing a level and they could drop their precious equipment. Geomchi 51 casually said.

“That sounds like fun. I’ll jump first.”

He sprinted the short distance to the edge of the cliff and jumped off. To them the taste a challenge was living freely like the wind.

Weed arrived at the place where the prisoners of Matallost church were being held in only three days. If he wasn’t so focused on chasing the Hunters after the Cult he would have arrived there even sooner.
As they moved through the dungeon the monsters of the area dried up to almost nothing. Just the strength of Weed alone was enough to wipe out most them but add in the big bull rover and most battles were over in seconds. The simple and honest rover was used like a horse in the plains. When a horse gains speed its attack power goes. There wasn’t much room in this dungeon so riding skills were pretty much useless. However, this was used to rover’s advantage.
Hwaryeong danced the Dance of Fascination on the Dark Knight; then a firmly placed back kick reached out. The Hindquarters of a bull! A kick with the strength of Godzilla thoroughly trounced the Dark Knight. It was not incomparable to the strength of sword Kaiser. (For some reason this sentence sound so much better with a double negative.) The Dark Knights that did not die from such a massive kick could be easily finished off with a little stiletto. The two girls and rover hunted the Dark Knights with an easy performance. With rover there the efficiency of the hunt became even faster.

MOOOOO!

Rover enjoyed each small victory over the monsters.

“Good job, Rover”

His short tail swished as Da’in stroked his head. He was a little sad that weed didn’t compliment him but Da’in freely gave her love and compliments. The proverb of where the cattle ear blossom really was true. (Okay I had a devil of a time finding out what the heck this means. Basically the proverb goes along the lines where the cattle ear grows long there will be a lengthening in wealth. Cattle ear or Myrica ruba is a tree that grows a very sweet type of raspberry. It only grows in top quality soil. Since it had many uses if you owned one you were obviously very wealthy.) Weed evaluated the speed of battle was much faster.

“Well you did just enough.”

A grudging praise from Weed!
Since rover had participated in the battle while faithfully carrying the backpack he was given a small amount of praise.

“I wonder what the price of beef is these days? You better hope that jerky doesn’t become too expensive.”
(Did you know that rovers name has an alternate spelling? When it came out on the GT I had no idea what it was talking about so I looked up directly and ran into a beef stew recipe XD)

Breaking through the dungeon!
Weed was in the middle of a very large maze, but he did not hesitate. He had already explored down each passageway by using dirtman so he knew exactly which way to go. The Priests of Matallost church had become emancipated, and were wearing robes that looked rags.

“Who are you?
“I have defeated the Embinyu cult. We came to pick you up.”

The priests of the matallost were the last people to believe him.

“Why would you have come to save so late?
“Humph. Thought we were gonna die here trapped like cattle.”

The torch had been passed rather quickly. This was not a quest one did on good faith. Weeds had a simple story.

It was quite a significant reward, because the Matallost cult could resume activity again. Weed did not explore the dungeon to save the prisoners. Most other those cumbersome tasks were divided among the other users. But he still gained one level. The other users increased as much as 10-20 levels. They obtained vast experience points and other rewards.

“This Quest is the best!”

The users who were clergymen who took part gain the greatest rewards. Weed was not jealous of the other users gaining levels. He had been taught the real values of life and death. 
In that event royal road was just a sideshow. 
To make sure their sword skills didn’t get rusty the poor fish have to suffer. 
Not only fish, but bunnies, deer and other herbivorous animal were hunted by the geomchis for practice.

“It be senseless to kill something that you’re not going eat afterwards….”

Feeling sorry for the fish Geomchi put a bandage on it. That the fish still alive after being sliced was a wonder. (LOL this is too funny. So that they did with weeds bandages)

He had come up for air downstream.
 He didn’t have a set destination and started to aimlessly wander. 
The river downstream was full of people. 
He heard a conversion between a middle aged man and his wife.

“So you did and…”
“Yes, We tried that out for a while but we realized none of us could take the tanker position. To balance us we needed someone else or we’d be in over our heads. So we all went out looking for a suitable person…by the way you don’t look like your average person.”
“I suppose.”
“And then I just happen to pass by you.”

Geomchi was dumbfounded as he arrived at the location of the rest of the party. 
A big dig dog spirit was sitting next to a middle age women and another graceful looking woman in her early 30’s. 
The girl smiled and told him, “She likes macho guys. She also likes guys who do martial arts.”
“….!”

Steer was an assassin in the Hermes Guild. 
It was his responsibility to keep an eye on the latest trends in the Versailles continent.

“… The possibility that the northern Lord of Morata is Jeonshin Weed is high.”

Steer needed to report important matter to the top. 
BardRay was currently hunting the Kingdom of Haven Berlin Zoo dungeon. (Need a proper name for the dungeon) 
It was not an exaggeration to say that it was drenched in monsters. (Its raining monsters XD) 
In the Kingdom of Haven and even on the throughout the rest of Versailles continent, it was know as one of the toughest and best hunting grounds. 
BardRay had his guild whisper chat window turned off. 
So steer whispered one of many shamans that hunted with him.

“What do you want steer?”

A loaded question. BardRoy spent most of his time hunting. No one wanted to be the one to stop him. 

Steer sighed, “I want to get all the guild personnel together for a meeting. Tell us BardRay’s position so we can come meet him in the dungeon.”

30 people from the Hermes guild went into the dungeon.
 All of their levels were over 360 because this dungeon was fill with high-level monsters that never seem to end. 
Only five people were killed at the end of twist and turns to reach BardRay’s place. 
BardRay and 12 SS were resting and maintaining their weapons. 
Around the place hung a foul odor rising from monster corpses lying around.

“BardRay sir.”
“Steer what have you come so far for?”
“To Report that thing.”

BardRay’s face filled with curiosity. 
Armed from head to toe with finest and strongest items the Versailles continent had to offer, he overflowed.

“Jeonshin Weed”
“Weed…”

BardRay nodded

“Here’s his story so far. He is known to have recently revealed himself to be the lord of Morata. Course you already knew this part right? But there are many points that you do not know.”
“What points?”
“ It estimated that the user Weed started in the kingdom of Rosenheim about a year and a half ago. What I don’t really understand is that his second job as a sculptor.”
“Second job?”
“Given his combat skills it’s assumed that his real profession is not that of an sculpture. It’s more like a hobby. Still he has created several masterpieces that have create a sensation around the continent.”

Sculpture as a hobby created masterpieces such wonders as the light tower, pyramid, and the goddess statues!

“Hoo wow.”
“He was a sculptor as a sideline? Look at the sculptors he’s made so far! I’m completely impressed.”

Those types of words floated out from BardRays’ companions.

“That reminds me can’t he be referred to as a junior.”
“Him, the one from CoM?”
“He was revealed to be the top player about six months after we left.”
“He was certainly king in Continent of Magic for a quite a long time.”

The SS happily conversed.
They were all acquainted with each other through Continent of Magic. 
They were all from a famous castle that had dominated in the Continent of Magic! 
BardRay was the lord of the best castle in the Continent of Magic.

“ Talking feels about this feels nostalgic.”
“Why don’t we wrap this all up and get back out to the Versailles continent and get some fresh air. I don’t want to miss cry about missing advantages.”
“I don’t want to go back … but that time was pretty fun.”
 
Being a castle lord meant you subjected to ugly wars and power struggles. 
Many the Castle lords had all gathered in one place. 
As Continent of Magic continued to decline many of its’ users were gathering in royal road. 
There were losers in every region of the continent. 
Many of them were still sensitive. The lord of a castle gains a huge amount of items, and a substantial monthly income. 
The amount was measly compared to regular office workers salary. 
Earning Money! 
There were many dark gamers that were lords. 
There were many previous lords in Royal road seeking to gain what they had again. 
This was how the Hermes guild was born.

“Weed became tremendously famous right after we left”
“Remember that quest we quest we gave up on the Island Labyrinth? The one where we asked the Ivan Fort and they said “We also gave that one up.” It was really scary.”
“ I was a great user in Continent no Magic of course I knew of BardRay influence.”
“Well weed managed to complete that quest.”

BardRay grinned while listening to the conversation of the SS. 
The Hermes guild has a strict command structure, only the toughest can command. But the SS not only prevailed they dominated. 
BardRay was lord of the castle and the ringleader of the SS which established the Hermes guild. 
They were the strongest people and through a series of agreements they were set up as the rulers of the guild. 
The Hermes guild had gone through a number of changes early on. 
If the SS and BardRay saw an opportunity they acted on it faster than anybody else in the competition. 
To be a successful a lord must know when to move his body and when to hold back. 
BardRay sense of judgement was very of quick. He had gained a very high standing and influence. 
The Hermes that was one of the best guild organizations in the Continent of Magic had obtained information on Weed through various sources.

“Weed from Continent of Magic….”

BardRay made a face like he was getting a long awaited prize. It was strange because he often looked expressionless.

“Steer”
“Yes sir”
“Keep your eye on the north.”
“All right”
“But you don’t do need to anything else.”
“What did you say?”

Steers face flashed white.
If a person shows he even the slightest hint of rebellion the Hermes guild would squash him with extreme prejudice. 
The Killer-Blade Army of assassins would play an important part. 
They would brutally slash through combat corps., burn down town and villages, and invade castles. They would not hesitate.
‘It is definitely not worth it .No want those hyenas to be snapping at their heels’
Is what Steer was thinking, but BardRay nodded his head.

“ The Daimond’s Resurrection army is pointed in our direction. We will be soon be facing that.”

The forces of the resurrected army had been significantly weakened. After all there was recession beyond the fortress of Odin. 
The Central continent was rapidly shrinking. 
The Resurrection army on the loose can not last long in Central continent. 
The North still didn’t have a strong kingdom to aim at yet. 
In that respect Weed had a desirable relationship. 
Weed had made a big contribution to the stopping the army by completing the Matallost quest. 

BardRay said, “Weed is famous but it is a fleeting reputation that would disappear with one loss.”

Power expansion through leveling up and hunting skills! 
BardRay had a gone on TV merely for one purpose. 
To demonstrate his Force and high level. 
‘He scary’ is what makes other users submit to him.
 
BardRay sank into thoughts as he and the SS took a break from hunting.

“The Continent of Magic…”

In Continent of Magic the entire continent felt his will as a lord. 
He was one of the first couple of people to start playing Royal Road so a lot of preparations had to be made. 
However occasionally he would sneak off to play CoM. 
It was not difficult task since his character was still intact. 
CoM was a game he was dedicated to in his youth. 
Although it was on the decline there was still a deep affection for the game.
Rumors of Weed being crowned the best started right about the time BardRay left.

“Jeonshin weed is now the best in continent.”
“Is BardRay the violent fox not connecting anymore?”
“On the contrary, I saw him going to hunt the soul of the Dragon, which you should never try to hunt alone. He even brought a special hunting horn.”
“Alone? Without any help? There’s absolutely no way BardRay can do that.”

BardRay’s pride was damaged. 
Because of the rumors and speculation has was in a foul mood and was develop a dirty personality. 
And so egged on by the rumors he found himself by a quirk of fate he found himself alone hunting in the same dungeon as Weed. 
BardRay intuition told him that this was the man of the rumors by looking at his equipment. 
CoM was a keyboard game where you typed out the spell. (QC note: RFOL, WTF, CoM don’t have shortkey)

“Scissors”

The word was there before he could even get a word in. 
 ‘ An opponent has attacked you.’
Any people Weed encountered in a dungeon were attacked without mercy! 
BardRay, whose mainly had defensive skills, was finally able to flee with just 300 life force left. 
That day he suffered the greatest humiliation. 
When BardRay fully recovered his mana and life force, he outfitted himself with his best equipment and challenged Weed once again.

“Weed bare your neck. I’ve come to cut out your throat.”

BardRay quickly typed out his lines he had prepared in advance, but there was no reaction in his opponent. 
BardRay was not recognized; Weed didn’t even care.
Weed activated only a normal attack skill. 
BardRay felt as if there was a wall as the fight took place. 
He felt as if he was going up against an impenetrable fortress. 
With every skill that he used felt shallow, and every blow he took hurt. 
The equipment and skill level wasn’t that big of a difference, and he was putting everything he had into finding the right time to attack and counterattack. 
But regardless all his attack were quickly dealt with. 
His experience with the defeat felt like a hopeless ocean of despair. 
BardRay could not accept it. 
His pride of being the strongest was shattered to pieces. 
He would go out and get gather his strength and come back stronger.
BardRay challenged Weed five more times. But every time the result was the same.
Even if he changed his combat style Weed would perceive it to easily. 
Plus every time they met Weed would have been on a high level and have improved equipment. 
The monster gap was too big. 
After every hunt BardRay gained experience but he wasn’t a pioneer like Weed. 
Labyrinth Quest, Skull knight, Magical dragon. 
Plus He hunted all these things high tier things alone. 
It only led to bigger impact on BardRays’ defeat. 
He swallowed his frustration and humiliation and gave up.

“Weed…”

BardRay chewed out the name. 
He had never forgotten the shame of that day. 
It made him even more focused on Royal Road.

“ I will not trample you yet. My grudge is too large. Grow a little more. Collect more friends and colleagues that build up your faith and reputation and then…”

BardRay imagined the day he attacked with the Hermes guild and its alliances.

“I’ll squash you so thoroughly will never be able to show your face on the Versailles continent again!”
