Photoshop. First open the image and create a Copy layer of the background. Name it "Layer 1". Then go to to the Image menubar item >> Adjustments >> Levels... (Do not choose Auto Levels). Make the adjustments to the black and white sliders found just below the graph, until the whites are white and the blacks are black. Make further adjustments until the overall pic is at optimal viewing form. Hit OK. If you like you can also adjust the brightness/contrast or color balance. Now comes the hard part. You see the japanese text? That has to be removed properly. Use the clone brush. Many times you'll have to zoom in alot and reduce the size of the clone brush and delicately "clean" the japanese text. Use the smudge and blur tools where necessary. Use the pen tool to redraw lines (better to do line redrawing on a new layer and then merge when completed). Finally, you must make a choice. If your images has a lot of dust and scratches then you must remove them by going to Filter >> Noise and then choose either Dust an d Scratches or Despeckle. After making the change compare before and after by undo and redo. Choose the better option even if you have to undo it (there are times when it's better not to remove the dust and scratches. That's all for cleaning. [[User:Zero2001|Zero2001]] - [[User_talk:Zero2001|Talk]] - 08:18, 29 October 2012 (CDT)
