It takes effort to watch out for your words. Now I know why you call it a challenge. Not using personal pronouns? I couldn't imagine it in English without sounding... well, strange. (and now that I think about it, that will also be quite a headache in my native language). But you can pull that off in Japanese (where it's the norm actually). It's a pretty quirky language in some ways. Ella.servantes (talk) 04:09, 20 April 2013 (CDT)

|<!-- Pardon me. When I first read yours, what crossed my mind isn't hikkikomori, nerd, nor geek, what crossed my mind is either the term 'introvert', a person who prefers solitude, or shyness.<br/>

Well , sometimes it's hard for others to be convinced, as, usually, every person has different perception; interpretation; and experience regarding something. But then, that's what communication for. Especially to the closest of friends. If it's hikkikomori, even if it's partial, I think you would not maintain the precious ties with your real-life friends or be comfortable being inside the core group/circle during the get-togethers. (By now, it ought to be clear as to what my personality shifts toward in the scale, as it's hard not to use those choices of words. At least not naturally.) My apology if I offend you. -->|

I see. Sounds like a kind of sweet torture. Really sweet one.

For the entirety of personal pronoun, it would be. But for personal pronoun that refers to self, I think it could still be pulled off, though it still couldn't be used much often. Well, for that part, it should be easily guessable as to what (mainly) 'inspire' that self-challenge, beside the norm of Japanese, so to speak.. or type. -/-User753-Talk- 10:50, 20 April 2013 (CDT)
