As far as I know, no. It depends on the project administrator/supervisor/translator/editor/whoever in charge, there is no fixed standard.

just dropping my opinion: i think it's depend on page protection. Usually project main page is locked from anonymous edit. The ones who can change protection level are supervisor and above. Though the fixed time is not clear. The chapters usually don't have any protection (except tamni perhaps) so it can be edited by anyone.

Dear Mada,

Thank you for your questions, let me answer them one at a time.
1. Script Protection.
Regarding your enquiries into the duration of page protection, due to the nature of our operations, scripts are naturally last to be protected. 

Page protection to registered only edit, will be enacted after:

1. A minimum period of 12 months after completion of the script 
2. And/or no edit activities for a minimum of 8 months. 

So, if there is no edits of the script after 8 months, then Project Supervisor can request for the script to be protected.

Or if there is still editing, after 12 months after official completion, it can be requested to be set to registered only.

To answer your second and last question, the answer is, no.

Page protection options is available to every page, but this also means no matter what page it is, it will only have these options. 

Which can only be set to set group types, unregistered, Registered or Administration.

About that tag, it is fine if you label the project as a teaser. You will however have to put that ATP tag as soon as soon as you want it as an official project, meaning if you want it to appear on the sidebar. I believe removing the tag for now will give you more time to re-check your translation and improve it instead of rushing it, as there won't be any deletion threat.
