I assume the rule is (maybe I am exaggerating here) necessary evil, because if the translator doesn't have (almost) complete control of their work, he or she might withdraw the translation from this site(in fact, quite a few translators did that already, some due to their conflict with editors). And if the rules is changed so that the translators' work become free for others to edit rampantly, or if after the translators put their work to this site, and is forbidden to take it back down, most translators would probably be so scared to put their works here. That means there would be very few translation in this site.
 
 
I got a suggestion that might interest you. How about you ask to create another page for your edits, like what was done here [[Accel_World]] on volume 6. If that is possible, at least you do not have to argue with the "purist" translators. One thing though, ask them 1st before you did anything, and be courteous please?
