I will begin editing Oda again :D. Although i'll be working from Volume 8 backwards. :P. Also Happy 2014! All Night (talk) 18:57, 5 January 2014 (CST)

Such things like in Volume 8, Ukita Naoie, the He/She keeps changing so to this point I'm just going to assume he's a man do to the way "It" talks. The same thing sometimes happens with Nagamasa. There's also I few places where the sentence is hard to comprehend but i'll fix these when I spot them as i'll be going though chapter by chapter. :P All Night (talk) 12:33, 19 October 2013 (CDT)

Hey Tarmade! First off I'd like to thank you for translating Oda :). I would like your permission to edit sentence structure, grammar, and I've seen a few names spelled wrong. As I will be doing for all 7 volumes. I would like your permission. The sooner the better so I can start. I wouldn't be changing any of the meaning, I'll be making the wording consistent across all the volumes, and I'll drop by for TLC if it's too mangled. THANKS AGAIN :P All Night (talk) 21:17, 18 October 2013 (CDT)

Hey guy, I noticed that Vol3 ch 1 has an "epilogue" witch is rather strange... is this intended, like in HSDxD?

Hi! I am here to say thanks for your Oda Nobuna no Yabou translation! Every time I read a new chapter that you translate, I get more and more motivated to continue learning Japanese!

Thank you again! Your updates make my day ^^

Thanks for finishing v3c1, I was going to message you about him quitting the project but apparently I forgot.

About the character you call Giovanna L'Ortese, japanized as Yamashina Katsunari (山科 勝成), I have found that it seems to be based on a possibly real historic figure whose name appears to be Giovanni Roltes, according to some, though the true name I couldn't find it nowhere, since it's a figure historians don't research much, so he doesn't have wikipedia articles except in japanese and the only investigations I managed to find only report his japanized name.--Kemm (talk) 14:31, 27 June 2013 (CDT)

Hello! Thanks for translating this awesome LN for us! Glad to see that you are a fellow Singaporean too. Now, I will like to ask if you prefer using American English or British English? Since majority of the series has been translated by you, I believe you have the right to decide on which type of English to use. This is because, I have noticed that there are multiple instances within the same chapter where both American and British English is used, and it causes a sort of discrepancy when reading through it. Therefore, I think it will be better if you can decide on one, tell people on this wiki that you are using that one. That way, editors will know what to use as well. Thanks! Thanks for the heads up. But as I've always translate in US english, I'm afraid it's the editors that did it to British. The project supervisor wants it in British too, so there might be some sort of mix up.

Translator's notes and References
Hey Tarmade, first of all thank you for all your Oda Nobuna translations.

I started helping out with some basic stuff recently and had a couple of questions.

1. When i was cleaning/updating the translator's notes and references to work/group nicely on the chapters and full text pages i noticed that the location of the "Translator's Notice: For more info on updates..." note varied per chapter (and was sometimes even missing).

Tarmade: Go ahead and add them in. I dun mind at all.

I moved the note to the Translator's Notes and References because it was not part of the chapter itself (example). Rukiabankai indicated that there might be other options (see my talk) or that perhaps you want it moved to a specific location?

Could you give your input on that?

Tarmade: I'm ok with you guys shifting anywhere you like. As long as it is in the page, I do not mind at all.

2. Is the translator note/warning concerning the rough translation on top of various pages really required? Because it is a given that the translations on Baka-Tsuki might be rough or in need of editing.

Tarmade: It's kinda how I do things at the start, I had not put them in the recent updates. Do with it as you like.

3. And lastly am i allowed to expand, add to and edit the current Translator's notes and References? I felt that while reading, some things required additional or improved explaining (with perhaps external references).

Tarmade: By all means, GO AHEAD! I welcome anyone who wants to help out in making Nobuna more popular and reader-friendly... Go ahead with what you are planning...

Sorry if these questions seem silly I just got started and wanted to be sure before changing things. --Ginja04 (talk) 11:52, 13 June 2013 (CDT)

Tarmade: Not at all, they are good questions.

Oda volume 3

I thought I sent you a mail regarding the same. Must have forgotten I guess. It was basically requesting you to do it too if possible since I am too busy currently and in the near future.

Editing and perhaps some translation work
Hey Tarmade, it's been a while. I'm the guy who stopped helping out after just half a chapter...unfortunately, my workload doesn't allow me to be able to translate whole chapters, but I think I can help out with the editing work. I've started work on volume 3, as you may have seen. I'll mostly be clearing out inconsistencies, grammar and I'll also edit some sentences to make it flow better in English. If I have spare time and no one else is doing it, I can help translate the Masamune side story, since that one seems to be shorter in comparison. Is that alright? After checking out a few sources, the correct translation for the term 南蛮 should be "Nanban", which has been written as "namban" in many instances. In future translations, perhaps it'd be best to follow the "correct" Romanization, I guess. Thanks.
