− | Hey, I noticed that we're both working on Nagisa's route, and it'd be really demoralizing to me if we ended up translating a big chunk at the same time when that extra 100+ lines could have been spent furthering the translation... Do you want to make some sort of plans to split the files up? For example, one of us could just reserve a certain chunk of lines in advance under the "translation" heading next to our names, or we could just work on separate files all together. Pretty much anything is fine with me, but I just don't want to end up wasting time by accident. [[User:Rabidkimba|Rabidkimba]] 10:01, 30 March 2007 (PDT) |

Translating CLANNAD[edit]
Hello LianYL,
I understand that earlier today you proposed to help translate with CLANNAD. That's good, but you need to have a look around to see how the translation is being done in all of the other pages. For example, in your recent postings, you missed out on the player choices for lines 15 and 16; also, you didn't do a Find/Replace as suggested on the front of the main page. That would have made your work a lot easier by having all the names already translated for you.
I highly suggest you read through all the other SEEN pages; particularly, since you're doing Nagisa's route, I would highly advise you read through all of the SEEN pages before SEEN6424 before you continue. It'll give you a good idea of how this translation is supposed to work, and how everyone's lines are supposed to be phrased.

1. "you missed out on the player choices for lines 15 and 16"
Sorry about that. I failed to realise they were options.
2. "you didn't do a Find/Replace as suggested on the front of the main page"
Sorry about this too. I only just realised what the * is for.
3. Thirdly, I just realised how the \m(A) whatever thing works. Sorry for being noobish, I'd check through my stuff thoroughly from now on.
Sorry for the inconveniences caused and thanks for the editing.

- It's okay, nothing real big or anything, since you haven't done much yet. To be honest, when I start picking up someone's route, I read through what has been translated thus far before I continue, so that I'm on the same page as everyone else, usually.
- Also, the * isn't just for replacing names; it's also good for letting you mark what you feel is a mistranslation. Or, if you skip a line, and search for "} *" or "> *", you can find untranslated dialogue or narration lines respectively. It's quite useful. --velocity7, 8:51 AM EST March 22 2007
