Oh right, if you fail intF's 308, 309, AND 310 (assuming everything else is correct) ... well no surprise that's Ryou's ending, hahaha. This denotes that you're not supposed to split interest in the twins (ironically thinking that I elected not to select kiss Ryou and that screwed me over first time around not knowing where the heck I went wrong.). Since the 28th is the first of these patterns, note that picking short hair means you fail to get Kyou's ending in a different way, since it's you get Ryou's path instead. But then, if you pick everything else that would be Kyou's path after picking liking short hair actually denotes that you fail to achieve Ryou's ending. The biggest irony is that buying the Amethyst for 500 yen which is the right pick, later causes you to expend 3990 more yen later. :P -Amoirsp |
: I can still remember the hell Kyou gave me when I was playing her route... I time traveled over 15 times just to finish her route... And by the way... I used a guide to finish her route because she was really frying my brain out! Wahahaha! Anyway, what would happen if you talk to Yuusuke and help him in Kyou's route? I thought you wouldn't be able to finish Kyou if you do that despite achieving her requirements. Or is it just me... -DGreater1 |

+ | :: I believe helping Yuusuke unfortunately shifts the path to his route. The analogy behind this is probably that Kyou is a route that's supposed to retain pure focus. It's not you failed to do her path, but you fell into another path that these choices are independent of. Like, if you keep interacting with Tomoyo, I don't know if there's any route priority modifiers, but you simply fall into another route with additional choices, so you simply stray from the route, even if you did everything right, you might fail to trigger the event due to assisting someone else. This is the same reason why the little note on Tomoyo becoming elected president of the student council can be done with interaction of just the 17th through the 19th (the general time when you can meet all or almost all the girls or other guys without really straying from some designated paths), however, the 20th is where you can designate things with that Sunday. I think this is how you meet Yuusuke and/or Kappei. I'll consider testing this, since usually I just go see Sunohara on the 20th instead of meeting Yuusuke or Kappei, but usually when I see Yuusuke, I don't see many paths left. Interesting to note that Kyou's route, if specifically focused, can involve just Tomoya, Sunohara, Kyou, and Ryou (aka no sign of any other characters, at all ... except random boys and girls and classmates. Ironically, the four characters are four you automatically meet regardless of the route, Nagisa and Misae being the other two.). My opinion of this route is that struggling through the route is somewhat analogous to how much mental and emotional struggle there was (okay more like there's a bit too much Ryou, and despite it being Kyou's route, you probably learn more about Kyou during other paths.). Well, remember that helping someone else could make you enter that person's path, and merely skip the event of another (thus failing to do it correctly, an example being Kotomi's route requiring ditching, which is opposite of everyone else.). Of course I don't know all the triggers, but once you get isolated into a single path, there really is no other path you can attain (unless there is high similarity), so helping Yuusuke probably does this since you end up hanging out with him and Sunohara for many many scenes (reminds me of when I got the Mei ending the first time around without knowing anything by randomly clicking trying to get Kyou since Tomoyo never appeared, but I failed since I probably chucked Button at her since the selection had her name on it, or ditched class and met Kotomi incidentally). Funny how Kyou is practically in everyone else's route but almost nobody else is on Kyou's route. -Amoirsp |

Requirements
To pass the bad ending and head into SEEN3514, the following requirements must be fulfilled (according to the Kepago file):
- intF[308]: Said you liked long hair on April 28
- intF[309]: Practiced kissing with Kyou on May 3
- intF[310]: Bought the Amethyst pendant on May 4
- intF[312]: Kissed Ryou on May 5
- intF[313]: Tried to stop Kyou on May 7
If you fail to meet any of these conditions, you will get the bad ending.
-I tested failing just one for each one, and I got the bad ending every time (along with like every variation), so there is no mistaking it. (Though I was sure I was able to not get the right gem but later realised I double mixed the gems, thinking the first choice was the Amethyst thinking that Kyou was the Tanzanite, so I always picked the second choice unless aiming at a Ryou ending.).
