Kirito is very lucky. He didn't get into the gov't scenario where he is trapped at Guantanamo and has to somehow find a way to escape. Or he could have been chained to the ground with a buzzard that kept on pecking at his liver, but as fast as Kirito's liver is eaten, it grows back.
