1. Mahkota Parade

Easily the largest shopping mall in Melaka, this place offers most of the entertainment around here, starting with the ever-popular Golden Screen Cinemas, the Bowling Centre, and the arcade, Wonderland. For fast food, there’s always the Burger King, McDonald, KFC. Those who prefer proper restaurants, however, fret not, there’s Sushi King, Nando’s, Pizza Hut, Seoul Garden, Sibaraku and so on. Book-lovers can pay a visit to MPH and Thai Kuang. Not to mention, there’re also endless clothes store here in MP. On special occasions like CNY festivals and others, shoppers will be pleased to know there’re always performances on stage to keep them entertained.

2. Dataran Pahlawan

Yet another relatively new shopping mall in Melaka and situated directly opposite MP. However, this mall lacks content if compared to MP, since it is mostly more of a clothes department. Here, people can get the latest fashion and alike. The main attraction of DP, however, is undebiably the Dataran Food Court, where everything sold there is government tax exempted. Therefore, the food pricing is relatively cheap, compared to other places. Currently, this shopping mall is still under construction, so watch out for the all-new Dataran Pahlawan soon.

3. Jaya Jusco

This is where most of MMU students get their daily supply of food and toiletries. Jaya Jusco itself is more like a hypermarket, where basically everything is sold, including food, furniture, toiletries, clothes, accessories, stationeries, books. In terms of entertainment, JJ has not much to offer, with exceptions like the arcade above. But nevertheless, JJ is a must-go for most of MMU’s students and staff.

4. Jonker Street

Also known as Melaka’s China Town, this street situated in the heart of Melaka and just beside the Melaka river is one of Melaka’s popular tourism spot. Jonker Street which is open for business only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4pm till after midnight. However, during occasions like CNY, Xmas, the crowd usually thickens even after midnight, and starts dispersing close to 3 or 4am. Upon entering JS, one is greeted with the sight of an uncle trying to entertain the crowd with his ‘breaking-coconut-with-1-finger’ performance. Moving on, there’re plentiful stores selling local delicacies, antiques, handicrafts, accessories. However, first time visitors be warned. Most of the food stalls in Jonker Street itself are quite ridiculously priced. Nearing the end of the street, there’s a stage area, and most of the time, one will get the chance to sing to their heart’s content with the karaoke set provided there. For manga-lovers, good news. Right at the end of JS, there’s a small stall selling Japanese manga, HK manga, each dating way back in the early 19th century. Also, they have manga-rental service there.

5. Mamak stalls

It’s a well-known fact that Malaysians do NOT sleep at night. Well, at least most of the teenagers don’t. Therefore, it is not surprising to see mamak stalls packed even after midnight. Famous mamak stalls around melaka are undoubtedly Kota Point, Limbongan Burger, and Amoteh, all of which are situated at Kota Laksamana, Melaka itself. Kota Point makes mouth-watering ‘roti-canai’ along with asam curry, Limbongan Burger is famous for it’s Limbongan special burger, served along with coleslaw and fries, totally Halal. As for Amoteh, it specializes in ices, served in every flavour imaginable. It’s quite something to see the people here eating and talking late into night.

Fake Script?

Hey Holycow,

you still got that parody script?

if you do, can you post it up in the fan fiction sub-forum?

It seems a waste to lose, and i'm sure people would love to read it again, or for you to add more to it? :p

regards,

Sure, I have it backed up in my hard drive. I'll have it uploaded then. Thanks.

FMP

Hoy :)

I don't know you managed to put a FMP story in a Haruhi page, but, I've moved it here : User:HolyCow/FMP temp, which seems a more appropriate place.

You can create any subPage storage you want using the syntax[[/a subpage]] and previewing.
