40 lines of ships

Sorry, but this should read "40 ships of the line."

Sailing ships (which these are based on) come in several types. Battleships and frigates are Ships of the Line. They are designed to sail in parallel lines next to the enemy ships, and pound them with round-shot. This term died out with the introduction of the Dreadnaught class ironclad.

The "Dragon Carrier" is not one of these (SoL), but is basically an aircraft carrier (CV). This is not designed to go into direct battle with the enemy.

The rest are troup transports.

BTW, the lengths should be meters, not mails and definitely not miles!

Deck Landing.

This whole part makes no sense at all.

The A6M Zero is fitted with an arrester hook, that is lowered from the tail. This engages a wire stretched across the flight-deck and brings the aircraft to a halt is a very short distance (approx 50").

And, the ropes began to be put on the deck. The soldiers grabbed each end of the ropes and placed them right across deck. this is fine (just a couple of minor word changes.)

Saito's right hand moves throw up a hook to the ship. Saito's right hand moves to lower the arrester hook.

Colbert who noticed the hook, was likely to have told to the crew of Varsenda to stretch out the ropes across the deck to help zero fighter land. this is fine too.

They approached the Varsenda. as is this (add "the" cuz it's a ship. )

Then other hooks from the warship followed, fastening wings and tail This makes no sense as the plane is in flight. Maybe this would work: Ropes were prepared on the warship for fastening the wings and tail after landing. This would make more sense if it was moved two lines down (after the approach.)

The flaps were lowered. Even if there is only one, Flaps are refered in the plural, not singular.

Saito carefully approached from the rear side towards the ship. again, no problem. You could change rear side to stern though.

The hook wired up zero fighter with the carrier, where it was fastened to. The Zero hooked onto the carrier where it was fastened down. Moved from the line where Saito's right hand lowers the hook.
