In regards to #4, when Sunohara starts going into denial (should be Scene 5F or so), it's kind of hard to determine whether or not he should be calling Kappei "her" or a "girl", especially since the terms he's using are leaning towards such an implication. Any ideas on this one guys? |

For the sake of dramatic and storyline reasons, it is quite probable that the circumstances revolving around medical development in CLANNAD are purely fictional, and thus such a "miraculous" treatment could be considered offensive to those that are currently suffering from osteosarcoma. For this reason, it is highly probable that when a patch for this game comes out, I will put a disclaimer at the beginning declaring the story being purely fictional, with all events in the real world being coincidential if similar in any way to CLANNAD. Although such a disclaimer was not put in the original game, it is probably for the best. |

How Sunohara calls Kappei[edit]
To make things realistic...
- Sunohara calls Kappei a "cute one" rather than "her" or "girl" so as to not let Kappei realize Sunohara thinks Kappei's a girl. Reason for this usage is that, if he were to use those pronouns, Kappei should have realized it earlier, but this goes against the text so I've left it as such. Just for the record, Japanese don't really use pronouns that define gender as often as we do (or rather have a lack of it), so we're left having to make do.
- When Sunohara whispers/talks with Tomoya alone, Kappei isn't around so usage of "her" or "girl" is realistic. Also at the same time, since Tomoya knows Kappei is a guy, yet wants to screw around with Sunohara, it's probably okay for him to call Kappei a girl only when Kappei isn't around.
- Once Sunohara realizes Kappei's a guy, he should be referring to Kappei as a guy, up until...
- Sunohara starts going into denial.
In regards to #4, when Sunohara starts going into denial (should be Scene 5F or so), it's kind of hard to determine whether or not he should be calling Kappei "her" or a "girl", especially since the terms he's using are leaning towards such an implication. Any ideas on this one guys?

Line 719 and 723[edit]
I'm not completely sure about this.
In line 719, when you look closely at the character 恋(koi) you can see that the character 心(kokoro) is in the bottom portion of it. Same for line 723 for the character 愛(ai) if you look closely enough you can see that the character 心(kokoro) is in the middle of it.
- Yes, since the character 心(kokoro) is at the bottom or 下(shita), Kappei says it's from 下心(shita-gokoro) meaning ulterior motive. By the way koi and ai have different connotations - 恋(koi) means to be in love, whereas 愛(ai) means love or affection.
