Volume 11, Chapter 2

"Oh, how dangerous!"

I muttered unconsciously.

The ceiling above the door connecting to the next room collapsed.

If I stayed there any longer, the rubble might crush my head.

Even if Kämpfer's body was strong, I didn't think he'd be okay.  

   Fragments of cement and dust kept falling, making the scene blurry. I covered my mouth

and nose with my hands and slowly approached the door.

   I couldn't see those two people. They must have gone to the next room. Could they have

avoided the rubble?

   "Hey, are you okay?!"  

   No answer. I called out several times anxiously.  

   "Mikoto! Shizuku!"  

   "I'm fine."  

   It was Shizuku's usual voice.  

   "Mikoto and I are fine."  

   "Hey, Natsuru, are you okay over there?"  

   My childhood friend's voice remained unchanged. I finally felt relieved.  

   "I'm fine too. Beneath you..."  

   I asked the person behind me. The bulldog girl looked nonchalant.  

   Even a thousand -pound bomb wouldn't kill me.  

   Just like always. It's fine.  

   That's good.  

   Shizuku said. Her tone was calm, but there seemed to be a hint of unease in it. Perhaps it

was just my imagination.

   Mikoto, Shizuku, are you hurt?  

   No.

   She said that, then immediately added,  

   "Natsuru always calls Mikoto first."

I wanted her to explain, but Shizuku immediately changed the subject.

Then it became quiet over there. What did they do? I pricked up my ears but couldn't hear anything. No, it was like a cat drinking water.

"It's okay," Shizuku said. "For now, I'll use the torn clothes as a bandage to cover the wound."

"I was shocked," Mikoto said. "Shizuku, you suddenly took off your clothes, I thought you were going to do something."

"Because you were injured."

"You actually licked my calf, it's so embarrassing."

"Would it be better if I licked it a few more times?"

"That's enough. If you want it, I want Natsuru to lick it! Wait, President."

"It's my duty to lick Natsuru's wound."

Mikoto must have been backing away. Even I was startled.

"I'm just kidding."

"Don't be so serious. It doesn't sound like a joke at all."

What did she say to her?

Akane, Mikoto, Shizuku, and I were separated. The door to the next room was buried by the collapsed ceiling and a large amount of sand and gravel, so we couldn't see each other. There was a hole in the ceiling, and that's where the sound was coming from. But it was just a small hole that even a cat wouldn't know if it could fit through.

Now we could only hear each other's voices.

"Natsuru, can you use magic to blast through the rubble?"

   I stepped back slightly, channeling power into my palms and unleashing flames.  

   After the explosion, the rubble was only slightly charred on the surface, a bit damaged in

   Shizuku didn't sound disappointed at all. She'd probably already anticipated this.  

"Hey, is there an exit over there?"

"It's dark and hard to see clearly, but it seems there is."

"Can't you see it?"

"Because it's Natsuru holding the torch."

   Yeah, but that thing got lost somewhere in the commotion just now, so I need to make

another one.

"How's the room? Is there anything unusual?"

"It looks like a materials warehouse. It's full of useless stuff, Natsuru."

   She said this out of the blue, and I barely managed a retort.  

   "It's not just you, Shizuku. I'm worried about Mikoto, too. "

   I turned away. Since we just came here, I need to go back to the hallway one more time. I

just hope we can reunite smoothly.

   "Then Mikoto and I are leaving from here too. Let's meet outside "

   Shizuku said.

   Listening to Shizuku's rare lines from behind, Beneath, I left the rubble.  

   Let's make a new torch from scrap. This time, we'll use magic to light the fire.

convenient.

   Akane said. I thought there might be a door leading to the next door, but there's only a

bare wall stretching out.

   the figure whose bullets had been deflected was already rushing towards us.  

   "Ahhh! Rika's back in action!"  

   She was the junior high school student, Kämpfer Rika. Her tiny body bounced like a rubber

ball as she charged.

   "It's you! Lolita girl!"  

   Akane roared.

   Akane fired again. Chain sickles and bullets flew in a crisscross pattern.

   These two people with similar personalities were fighting. The violent clash of spear and

   Then Kusagi attacked Akane with precision.  

   Akane screamed, "Stop kidding! Damn Lolita! Die, die, die!"  

   She shot down the kusarigama flying towards her. This method could only be achieved

with unlimited ammunition. Rika retracted her scythe and hurled it with even greater force.

   The crackle of gunfire and the clatter of metal made my head buzz. The noise was so loud.

Those two fighting guys seemed to be so overwhelmed by adrenaline that

   they weren't paying any attention at all.

   Akane's foot was entangled in the chain. Rika pulled hard, and the dog girl lost her balance.  

"Death awaits!"

   Rika licked her lips, scythe in hand. Then, shouting happily, she rushed forward.  

   "Look, I'll chop your head off!"  

   "How can you succeed!"  

   Tripped, Akane continued to yell. She aimed her gun at Rika's forehead.  

   But it was too late. Shining was about to chop off Akane's head.  

   "Ah!"  

   A scream rang out. If it were Akane, I'd be surprised that she could make such a cute sound

despite being a bitch,

   but it was Rika. She couldn't stop herself and crashed into Akane.  

   The two of them tumbled to the ground.  

   "Get away from me, idiot!"  

   Akane roared, swinging the gun down at Rika's head.  

   With a dull thud, the petite girl's eyes rolled back.  

   "Hey, are you okay?"  

   I quickly ran towards Akane. The bitch had just stood up, her eyes bloodshot.  

   Then, for some reason, she pointed her gun at me.

   "You helped me! You used magic!"  

   She roared at me, her face radiating all the fury she'd shown. That's right, I unleashed

flames on Rika at that instant.

   That caused the girl to lose her balance and charge into Akane. "Did n't  

   I tell you not to attack?!"  

   "But if you keep going like that, you'll be killed."  

   "That's when a shonen manga -style counterattack begins!"  

   What nonsense! Apparently, the humiliation she feels for helping her is greater than her

gratitude. This personality is so troublesome.
