Given that there are 25 x 1mm to the inch, that means these bullets are 1/75th of an inch. Don't you mean 0.300" or circa 7.62mm? ie the old [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7.62x51mm_NATO NATO standard caliber].

Smooth Headed[edit]

Translator note: Kyon actually called Taniguchi an octopus, which Taniguchi thought Kyon was cursing him to be bald. While the association between an octopus and baldness may be clear in Japanese, it is not in English, and I have decided to use a more straightforward approach instead.

Taiko Drum[edit]

Translator Note: Kyon kept asking "doko, doko" - "where, where" in Japanese - which sounded like the rumbling of a taiko drum.

Wrong Caliber?[edit]

As usual, I got out of bed, feeling as though my stomach had been stuffed with a few dozen .300mm bullets.

Given that there are 25 x 1mm to the inch, that means these bullets are 1/75th of an inch. Don't you mean 0.300" or circa 7.62mm? ie the old NATO standard caliber.
