umm why not translate the darn thing chronologically? I know beggars can't be choosers, but it just doesn't make sense to update Chpt 8 instead of 7. Afterword, preface, and that is okay-since speed might be a concern for some translators who just want a quick-go at it.
ch 7 was registered for by a different translator, who took a while to get around to it... but it should be done in 5 days as a high estimate based on current translation rate... thing is it isn't being translated by only one translator, and well... from the main page: "Independent translators come to Baka-Tsuki and voluntarily upload their translations to the Wiki for public sharing. Do not ask when the next chapter will be updated." that aside, some translators translate on a whim, or find that some sections are beyond their translation level, and will skip them for that reason... though I doubt that is the case here...
