Eg: His table; her chair; its leg...We use (something) of (something) when these things do not apply. Eg: Cover of the book; top of the table...Exceptions do exist though. Eg: Her painting -> A painting of hers. But this case is rarely used. Hi again. I'd just like to make a note. In English, we use possessive adjectives for living beings, ie humans and animals. Eg: His table; her chair; its leg...We use (something) of (something) when these things do not apply. Eg: Cover of the book; top of the table...Exceptions do exist though.
