Revision as of 23:35, 12 April 2015

Hi, FNG here (well, 4/12/15 9:18pm GMT+8 is this acct's BDay so I'm gonna start counting my years here as a registered member)

What I am?

I am a avid unregistered reader waaaaay back the last decade. amateur (Or should I say, wannabe?) translator (Currently self-studying Japanese at the moment) I am fluent in English (well, in written forms actually, I'm not so good at oral communication) to the point of putting my professor to shame (well, she was stupid enough anyway, and an excellent example of a bad example, but not to the worst extent)

Why do I came here:

WARNING: TLDR

TBH i like "amateur" translations most coz they don't change the context much, well, with the exception of language and culture barriers of course. When I bought the official English Publication of a Novel I want I was disappointed. it feels the same way like I was reading my math books. The mood was turned off and the excitement that I felt when reading the official was lost and my hopes crushed. I have even abstained myself from reading the novel translated here just to feel the excitement again just like the first time I read it (Honestly I have read the amateur translations to the point of memorizing it) but as I compare the novel "here" and "there" there is a very big difference between the two. So much to my disappointment, I tried to "learn" the language and culture of the Japanese itself.

What am I doing right now?
