This sort of twist is the reason why I love this series. *JOY!* -- Multipartite
About the tense
Personally, I think present tense suits more this kind of story. It's not the first present tense novel I read, and I think this is the best suited for that.
BTW the other 3 were originally written in present tense, didn't they? I sensed that it suited them best.
