I like to say that I am possessed of a meticulous nature, but that's just a pedantic way of saying I'm anal retentive. But that's what's made me a decent editor. Having said that, I'm still human--I'll miss things. So I feel no animus towards anyone who might catch me in a legitimate mistake of omission or commission. But if I believe you're mistaken, I'm likely to change things back and will be glad to present my case with references to: _The_Chicago_Manual_of_Style_, Strunk & White's _Elements_of_Style_, the _Oxford_English_Grammar_, et al.. Please be prepared to provide like reference sources. |
