+ | Well, technically I-U is more accurate because the name of the organisation is actually derived from from the designation prefix of Imperial Japanese Navy submarines ("I") and Kriegsmarine submarines ("U"). I believe the translators used EU because phonetically, the Japanese "I" sounds like the English "E". Well, technically I-U is more accurate because the name of the organisation is actually derived from from the designation prefix of Imperial Japanese Navy submarines ("I") and Kriegsmarine submarines ("U"). I believe the translators used EU because phonetically, the Japanese "I" sounds like the English "E". The translators appear to have no objections over the change, and besides, in the anime adaptation subbed by Funimation, the term "I-U" is used as well. --Glacierfairy 09:43, 15 June 2011 (UCT)
