| + | Well, technically I-U is more accurate because the name of the organisation is actually derived from from the designation prefix of Imperial Japanese Navy submarines ("I") and Kriegsmarine submarines ("U"). I believe the translators used EU because phonetically, the Japanese "I" sounds like the English "E". Well, technically I-U is more accurate because the name of the organisation is actually derived from from the designation prefix of Imperial Japanese Navy submarines ("I") and Kriegsmarine submarines ("U"). I believe the translators used EU because phonetically, the Japanese "I" sounds like the English "E".
