Thank you for the link. So it's a Karabineer. That rifle reminds me of the infamous Kar98K with the 5 or 9 bullets open type magazine. Although, the colour resemble M-1 Garand (and thus, the famous loaded or nothing type magazine that have a 'chtink' sound whenever the mag is empty).<Br/>

Greetings, Ella-san. Thank you very much for the translation.
So, Kino's problem in the first part of the chapter was due to the extortion from the 'blockade country' ... and she repaid the children and citizens in the 'migration country' by shooting those anti-tank missiles (probably BGM71-TOW. Don't know about the platform though) with some rifle rounds.

Come to think of it... Kino rarely use her rifles, isn't she?
That makes me wonder about what Flute is... Is there an automatic rifle which magazine only chamber 9 rounds?-/-User753-Talk- 10:50, 28 October 2012 (CDT)

Welcome as always! Maybe I'm just a hopeless Kino fan, but I really enjoyed this chapter. By the way, this is the country referred to in Volume 10 Chapter 2 (A Tale of Braggarts ~Fantasy~). I knew the second I read 'This country was moving.'

Halfway through I got depressed with Kino's coldness, especially when she said (Let's pretend we didn't hear that)...though I know there has to be a catch somewhere... And yeah, she hit not two, but three birds with her incredible luck (she crossed the country without paying anything, she received gratitude for making the children happy, and she managed to give the 'blockade country' some sort of payback from trying to take away Woodsman from her).

Oh, a bit of digging revealed that Flute may be loosely based on a TERA type 2 rifle which is basically the disassembly version of the Arisaka type 99 rifle. Here are some pictures: google images As for the magazine, I was assuming she used a clip with 9 rounds, since Flute uses bolt-action. Yeah, I wanted to see more of Flute (other than being used as a fishing rod). If she accepts all sorts of jobs like Master did, she might.Ella.servantes (talk) 20:35, 28 October 2012 (CDT)

Yeah, I hope so too. It's saddening to see a rifle stock becoming a fishing pole/ whacking stick (or chocolate storage, as some of the modified stock can be used to store emergency ration in form of chocolate or the like).-/-User753-Talk- 09:26, 29 October 2012 (CDT)
