Full-time student that occasionally gets strange compulsions while struggling against the freshman fifteen -- ie, translate a whole novel or two without being fluent in the language in which they are written in. The strange compulsions are giving the extra pounds the advantage.

I'm okay at Japanese. Language help is just a phone call away for me via my family, but I rarely call. So, I suspect there will be at least a few mistakes in anything I do. I'm sorry.

I also know a few Japanese nursery rhymes and some baby talk from when I lived in Japan. (I was about four/five years old at the time.) I avoid admitting aloud that I know these. I also avoid speaking Japanese out loud because I am a coward...I respond to Japanese conversations with English...

I love languages. I hope to someday be fluent in both Chinese and Japanese. I'm not very advanced in Chinese yet, but so far I'm really loving the grammar. I am horrid at the pronunciation.

I have no idea what else to say...
