Tytania
Tytania (タイタニア), is a Japanese space opera light novel series created by Yoshiki Tanaka (mainly known for the Legend of the Galactic Heroes). The series is 5 volumes long, and ran between 1988 and 2015 with a 22 year hiatus between volumes 3 and 4.
In 2008, Tytania was adapted to a 26 episode anime, and a 9-volume manga.
Note: Over the years, Tytania was published by various editors (Tokuma Shoten, Kodansha, Square Enix, etc.), with different illustrators (Katsumi Michihara, Akira Kasahara, Haruhiko Mikimoto, etc.) Each edition has very different aesthetics as far as covers and illustrations go. Due to the long 22-year hiatus in this series, only the Kodansha edition comprises all 5 volumes. The covers presented in this page are from the Kodansha editon. They use the graphic style of the 2008 anime adaptation of the series.

Story Synopsis
The Tytania Clan holds sway over the universe. A faint crack has appeared in their rule. An unknown admiral by the name of Fan Hyulick has defeated Tytanian forces led by Ariabert, one of the Four Dukes. Triggered by this victory that no one had anticipated nor even desired, history begins to unfold. What is to become of the fate of the universe and the Tytania clan!?
