I'm a uni student, school technology advisor, customer service supervisor (read: drone), writer, reader, and a lot of other things in between. At the moment, the uni thing takes up the majority of the time; I am currently taking a double degree, specifically a Bachelor of Creative Arts/Bachelor of Science. Majors are Creative Writing, sub-majoring in poetry, prose fiction and editing; and Biology, sub-majoring in genetic engineering. So I figure that I'll be perfectly qualified to write biological horror science fiction by the time I graduate. Qualified. Not just capable.
I'm a fan of bishoujo>anime conversions, my favourite probably being AIR TV, although Kanon 2006 does look like it will be very special to me. I also enjoy pretty much anything romantic or comedic, as long as the humour is mostly clean and/or intelligent (hah!) and that excessive fanservice is few and far between - oftentimes, it is preferably not there at all.
Oh yes - I'm currently embroiled in writing three different novels/novellas, tend to jump up at three in the morning and sketch down lines for poems that later end up either being severely twisted or inspirational, and find the English language a beautiful and precious thing. Recently I found myself very much excited whilst reading a chapter in a English Style Manual about proper sentence punctuation.
I can't think of much else to put here, except a couple of recent books I've read that everyone should read, or at least find and say they've read. Find a copy of Silk by Alessandro Barico, for a beautifully stylised romantic exploration, and find a copy of Maurice Guest by Henry Handel Richardson, if you think that your life is depressive and bad and that you should be dead.
That's enough for now. ^^;;
