thank you for your suggestion,I will be forwarding the information to the Captain of Baka-Tsuki, and marked it as something he needs to look at as soon as possible.

As for Cats, I make exceptions for productive and none-selfish types, that or cute neko girls with the ears & tails.

Well as you know i have less experience with Wiki's then anyone of the users here put together, i'm not so sure what to do exactly, any problems I usually go crawling back to the Big Boss (-_-")>

If you cannot sort it out by today, I will contact the Captain to restore the list.

Either way, try not to break it again, you Baka Neko. #\(O_o;)

ZnT Collaboration Project

Hello Darkoneko,

i'am inquiring if you are interested in joining the editorial team for the up coming series Zero no Tsukaima collaboration project?

If you are unfamiliar with it, here is a short blub about it,

Zero no Tsukaima ( ゼロの使い魔, The Zero's Familiar ?) is a comedy anime produced by J.C. STAFF, based on a series of light novels written by Noboru Yamaguchi and illustrated by Eiji Usatsuka. Zero no Tsukaima is set in a fictional magical world at a magic academy. The story features several characters from the second year class with the main character being the inept mage Louise and her familiar from Earth, Saito Hiraga.

Summary:

Meet Louise, a budding magician. The students at the Tristein Academy call her "Zero Louise", due to her current record of zero successes with magic. In fact, her magic tends to go spectacularly wrong. Now, as an important test of her aptitude for magic, she must summon a familiar to be her servant. At this critical moment, she summons up all her magic and wishes for a familiar that is "devoted, beautiful and powerful", and gets... Hiraga Saito, an ordinary Japanese boy. It's difficult to say who is more surprised and dismayed, but the rules don't allow for second attempts. Louise is stuck with her strange familiar, and he with her.

Zero no Tsukaima Info

Think of it as Harry Potter, but cooler, and much more funny, and th best thing is that later on in the novel, they have a full wolewide scale war, invasions fleets, lots of death, tragedy and kick arse killing. yay.

You can read the summaries of the volumes here at Aquastar Forum

If I have not sparked interest and you do not wish to join in, i will be disappointed to hear that. However if your are just a little bit interested, please tell me as soon as possible.

The way this project will be done will be slightly different, sufficient to say the script will not released on the wiki as a "work in progress" but I suspect (these details are still in negoiation) be issued first to you lot to proof-read and then published on the wiki (which i'am quite determine to see happen. ), it will then be released as a pdf or .jpg format because those fansub/scanlation types just can't keep it simple.

However, I'am sure if you wish to work on the pdf, I wil make sure that you do.

I look forward to your reply, and I hope you will find this series interested enough to join in.

Sincerely,

Question about Wiki

Hello Darkoneko,

You have mentioned you were experienced with Wiki,

As you know we are undertaking a new project, but due to the collaboration effort of this venture, i wonder if it is possible to impliment read-restriction access on this wiki?

the version of this wiki is 1.7.1 and i have asked the big boss about adding a patch for hidden pages, but it was not efffective due to this version of the wiki,

I wish to know if you have any alternative method to create special pages that only certain users can read and edit?

any advice would be appriciate.

sincerely,

Onizuka-gto 08:52, 12 August 2006 (PDT)

Hello darkoneko,

Thanks for your advice, I've passed it on to the Big Boss, I cross my fingers and hope it works for our wiki version.

If it doesn't work im back to square one. (T-T)

Honestly, Wiki's really are true communist, i mean don't they know history? communism doesn't work.... :p

Thry should at leased implimented the feature....oh well.

Once again thanks for your help.

Sincerely,

Er..."Software-ly" created?

What do you mean?

You have to install a patch?

last time The Big Boss tried to install a patch for this:

http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Hidden_pages

and the Wiki rejected it, I got a bad feeling about this now. (-_-;)

Thanks for getting my hopes up.

(;_;)

Hello Darkoneko,

I just got a reply from the Big Boss about your suggestion, we had a positive result but there were some flaws with it.

According to the Big Boss the pages using this method is not 100% secure, quoting the Big Boss...

<Edit:actually i shouldn't put those problems here. I almost did.(^^;) If you can provide me with a email address Darkoneko, i will like to tell you in detail about it.>

While personally I think that's secure enough, I was wondering if you have any idea how to plug these holes?

Sincerely,

Thanks for giving me your contact details.

I have sent you an email about this issue.

Hopefully you can find a solution for the problems i've encountered.

sincerely,

Navigation template

Meow :)

First, I had some problem with my mails, you could you please confirm wether you received the one I sent you a few days ago ?

to the main topic, I'm working on a template to replace the current "navigation bar" code at the bottom of each chapter.

current one
Return to Main Page Back to Chapter 1 Forward to Chapter 3
template created to replace it.
Return to Main Page Back to Chapter1 Forward to Chapter3
There is one little flaw : the parameter is the same for the adress and for the display (that's explains why "Chapter1" is displayed instead of "Chapter 1") We can either rename the pages so there is a space, or add 2 separate parameters for the display (which IMO, complicate it quite a bit compared to the simplicity it's supposed to offer) Which one would you (or big boss) prefer ? DarkoNekotalk 13:50, 15 August 2006 (PDT) NB: please note that I won't have access to internet starting friday evening until the end of august
