Question about a Sentence

Hi Dreyakis,

While reading through the chapter, there was a sentence that looked weird, so I took a peek at the Japanese text I had.

Original translation: 'Faith that he would not lose to anyone was the hope of she who wished to remain unbeatable.'

Transliteration of the Japanese text: 'Darenimo makenaito shinjiteiru, sorewa, darenimo makenai te hoshikunai toiu ganbo demo aru.' From Page 295 of the Japanese Text.

From my understanding of Japanese, I believe that the sentence was meant to reflect that Miyuki's previous assertion that Tatsuya would not lose was as much her faith in Tatsuya as her own (fervent) desire(願望) and not that she wished to remain unbeatable. This makes much more sense to me, as it fits with her characteristic of loving? her brother. I'm just starting to pick up Japanese myself, so I would appreciate your opinion.
