In this line: "The fact that a person that does things by the book like Oba-san didn’t come[,] made me even more worried." Is it possible that there lacked a coma between the braket?

Also i think it would be best translated this way: "The fact that a person as perfectionist as Oba-san didn’t come, made me even more worried."

Sure it change the meaning but just a bit. And let the reader has enough breath to say that sentence.

Or mabe this way:

"The fact that Oba-san, a person that does things by the book, didn’t come, made me even more worried."

...less change of word but made in a more logical order
