The Chosen One Chapter 1
The Journey Begins
Our story begins in a fantasy world far away from here: a world which also contains a prophecy. In this world of mysterious powers and chaos there will be born ‘Awaken’ individuals and the prophecy foretells that one of them shall become the king destined to rectify the injustice. The one who has the destiny holds the most powerful form of 'Awaken', the king’s power, the power to change everything.
Manawia Forest
On a beautiful, sunny and an ordinary day a boy was taking a nap under a tree, like he used to. The boy was 16 years old, mid-height, blue-eyed skinny blonde teen. He had green hair and the boy wore a t-shirt, a short-sleeved hoodie, baggy-shorts and sandals. After sleeping for a while he wakes up to loud noises. Surprised, he gets up to see what is happening. Close by a trail a horde of animals is running away from an unknown threat. The boy looks south where they are coming from and sees an enormous pillar of smoke rising and spreading his way. The boy heads south to find out what has caused this phenomenon. As he runs towards the location where the pillar is he starts to hear screams and terrified cries which make the boy even more worried and he starts to run even faster. When he gets to the scene he finds out a nearby village is on fire and under attack. When arriving to the edge of the village and seeing what's happening everything turns black and intense pain spreads throughout his body.
Suddenly the boy sees an image of another village in his mind, burning like the one before him, people dying around him and a woman holding his hand, crying and running away from the village.
The boy gains consciousness back and is confused of what he just saw, but he didn’t have time to think about it; he had to find out what was happening in this village. He arrives too late, almost everything is destroyed. While walking around the village with no clue on what to do, he spots an old man lying on the stairs of a big, ruined house, and a crying girl next to a man. He runs to them, rips off a piece of his cape and uses it to stop the bleeding in the old man's forehead. "What happened here!?" he asks in a scared voice. "There is not much time left, take my daughter and leave this vil-" and he is gone. "Hey!" the boy shouts as he shakes the old man, with no response. "Father... is no more here", the girl says with an empty look in her eyes. The boy doesn't understand anything, but he vows to obey the will of the old man and protect the girl with his life. He takes the girl's hand and they start running towards the village entrance. The girl was around the boys age, maybe a little younger. She had orange eyes and long orange hair on a ponytail. She wore a blue kimono-like dress. Suddenly the boy hears a voice from nearby: "Just these few houses and then we've made sure everyone is dead." "Finally! This mission was a pain in the ass." And at that time a bunch of nasty-looking soldiers are standing in front of them. The soldiers wore a red armor on top of a black kimono and they had a katana sheathed at their waists. "Hey, where do you two think you're going? The order was for everybody to die!" The boy stood in front of the girl, who was really scared of the situation and about to cry. "Hey, isn’t that girl the daughter of this village's chief?" said one of the soldiers. "Ya 're right, I wanna' kill that bitch!" said the other. "Over my dead body!" shouted the boy with a determined look in his eyes, "Well then, we can do that." said one of the group’s soldiers, and they attacked. In a blink of an eye the boy was lying on the ground all beaten up, and the girl was in the hands of the soldiers. The boy slowly opened his eyes and asked: "Wh-what are you going to do to her?" "Kill her, obviously. So just sit there and enjoy the show!" Said the soldier laughing who held the girl. The boy tried to crawl up but one of the soldiers walked up to the boy, stamped him back to the ground, grabbed his neck and made him look at the girl. One of the soldiers was holding the girl and another one was pointing a sword towards her. "STOP IT" shouted the boy, but the soldiers just smiled. While the leader was about to strike, the boy yelled "CUT! IT! OUT!" in an echoy voice and suddently everything went blank. Then the boy realized he was burning in flames, but they didnt hurt. He was holding the girl's hand and the whole army was lying down on the ground and shaking from fear. One managed to say "Y-You are...the legendary awaken!" With a cocky smile on his face the boy said "Sorry, but you are the only ones dying today. Tough luck."
