Shounen Onmyouji
Shōnen Onmyōji (少年陰陽師?) is a light novel series written by Mitsuru Yūki and its illustrations done by Sakura Asagi. The series has currently 26 volumes, including 3 short stories and a side story.
Story Synopsis
The novel is about a boy who was deemed as the grandchild of the greatest onmyouji, onmyouji being one of the religious foundations for the country. Known by the name of "Grandchild of XXX", the protagonist is not pleased. Furthermore, he does not have any powers at all. He tries to put himself to use in other areas, paperwork, art, etc, all to no avail. Upon a chanced(or fated?) meeting with a strange demon, he was forced into his first encounter against another powerful demon. Later on he realized that this strange demon is more of a deity than a demon, and that their first meeting is perhaps not their first. As a child, the protagonist had overly powerful powers, and would make him prey to other demons, and so his powers were sealed then. And so, the protagonist begins his training to become the onmyouji that he sworn to be when he was young(with his powers) while trying to protect the beautiful princess he met...
